A place where cats roam like tiny furry sultans and the food is almost as memorable as their presence. The interior is stripped-down and clean, part café, part furniture showroom. It feels retro without trying too hard. Plants spill out from corners. There’s care here, even if the menu’s small.

The menu itself drifts between Japanese comfort food, café staples, and fusion experiments. Squid ink spaghetti with salted egg karaage delivers a real punch: salty, rich, and unapologetically spicy. Curry rice and chicken chop, on the other hand, barely leave a dent. Kaya toast, surprisingly, could steal the show: simple, sweet, and done right.

Drinks come bright and refreshing, fruit-heavy, the sort of thing that works well under Penang’s heat. Some plates arrive a little too salty, some a little light on promised ingredients. Prices flirt with being too high for the portion, but the flavours usually pull their weight.

Cats are part of the draw: friendly, well-fed, and mostly indifferent, which is exactly how cats should be so don’t expect them to perform. The staff, stretched thin but endlessly kind, handle the flow with patience. Service runs on warmth, not speed. Parking’s a nightmare. Forget it, or come ready to circle the block until luck drops a spot in your lap. But for those who make it inside, the space rewards you with quiet, comfort, and food made with a bit more care than you’d expect from a place that doubles as a feline sanctuary.

10/10 Hidden gem in Georgetown! It’s located in a residential area; so parking is quite hard to find and sometimes you might not even notice the café itself; but I included the picture of the exterior for a better reference to find it :)

Personally recommend the salted egg pasta with fish skin, it’s really flavourful! I love Ahma on the beach (the yellow beverage) or something with the similar name; so unique and refreshing.
