A place where cats roam like tiny furry sultans and the food is almost as memorable as their presence. The interior is stripped-down and clean, part cafĂ©, part furniture showroom. It feels retro without trying too hard. Plants spill out from corners. Thereâs care here, even if the menuâs small.
The menu itself drifts between Japanese comfort food, café staples, and fusion experiments. Squid ink spaghetti with salted egg karaage delivers a real punch: salty, rich, and unapologetically spicy. Curry rice and chicken chop, on the other hand, barely leave a dent. Kaya toast, surprisingly, could steal the show: simple, sweet, and done right.
Drinks come bright and refreshing, fruit-heavy, the sort of thing that works well under Penangâs heat. Some plates arrive a little too salty, some a little light on promised ingredients. Prices flirt with being too high for the portion, but the flavours usually pull their weight.
Cats are part of the draw: friendly, well-fed, and mostly indifferent, which is exactly how cats should be so donât expect them to perform. The staff, stretched thin but endlessly kind, handle the flow with patience. Service runs on warmth, not speed. Parkingâs a nightmare. Forget it, or come ready to circle the block until luck drops a spot in your lap. But for those who make it inside, the space rewards you with quiet, comfort, and food made with a bit more care than youâd expect from a place that doubles as a feline sanctuary.
1LDK Eatery isnât for everyone. Cat-haters should stay away. Those looking for polished, hotel-grade dining will leave annoyed. But if the idea of eating next to a dozing feline while sipping peach and watermelon juice appeals, this...

A nice place to have a quiet & nice meal. Updated review : 1st visit after they reopened & their food and service never disappoints. Still loved their drinks & kornichiwa. Some of the new menu tastes great as well. Previous review : Loved their food. It's unique in taste. Their drinks are also very good. I'm so disappointed that it's now closed. The atmosphere is also very fun to be in, especially if you're a cat lover. Visited 3 times in total. Hope they'll reopen their business. Good food, good service it's...
Read more10/10 Hidden gem in Georgetown! Itâs located in a residential area; so parking is quite hard to find and sometimes you might not even notice the cafĂ© itself; but I included the picture of the exterior for a better reference to find it :)
Personally recommend the salted egg pasta with fish skin, itâs really flavourful! I love Ahma on the beach (the yellow beverage) or something with the similar name; so unique and refreshing.
Meow haven for cat lovers; the cats are super-friendly and Chap Si is one of the cats with an interesting personality! Beware of it because he may seek the best timing to...
