The worst experience I had during stay at BookMe hotel on 7 December 2024.
Upon our arrival in the afternoon, the receptionist (girl) was welcoming. However, our experience took a negative turn later that evening. When we returned to the hotel, we encountered several issues that made our stay uncomfortable.
First, we noticed that the hairdryer in our room was not functioning. We informed the night shift receptionist (guy) about the issue, and he told us there were no extra hairdryers available. Although we were disappointed, we tried to make do by using the air conditioning to dry my long hair.
To make matters worse, we discovered a cockroach on the bed's headboard. We immediately informed the receptionist, who was listening to music with earphones at the time. He told us that the hotel was fully booked and no spare rooms were available. After expressing our concern, he assured us that he would help us catch the cockroach. We waited in the room for 10 to 15 minutes, but he did not come to assist us. We had no choice but to attempt to deal with the cockroach ourselves.
After around 20 to 30 minutes, the receptionist (guy) finally arrived with mosquito spray. He told us that we could leave the spray in the room and did not need to return it. This left us with the unsettling feeling that the problem might recur. Additionally, we noticed that the ceiling of the bedroom was not properly sealed, so we attempted to push it back into place using a water bottle.
Unfortunately, due to the unpleasant experience, we were unable to sleep properly. The fear of another cockroach appearing kept us awake, and we were left feeling very uncomfortable throughout the night.
We kindly request that you look into these issues and take appropriate action to ensure that future guests do not face similar problems. We hope that our concerns will be addressed so that the quality of service and cleanliness at your hotel can be improved.
Moreover, we were informed by the agent at Agonda that they would contact the hotel to verify our concerns. However, we are disappointed to learn that the receptionist claimed to have passed on the hairdryer to us when we initially informed them about the issues we encountered. We believe this statement was untruthful.
To clarify the situation, we kindly request that you can review the CCTV footage from that time to verify whether the items were indeed passed to us. If the footage shows otherwise, it will unfortunately suggest a lack of professionalism and an attempt to cover up the situation with false statements.

The first time when I Went to request for a change of bed sheet, the receptionist said it’s like that- they have cleaned and washed it, just can’t remove the stains. To me it’s strange why can’t they just change a new piece of bed sheet for me and why despite washing thoroughly, the black spots are still there. The bed was alright, but the toilet was a total letdown. Looked like it hadn't seen a renovation finish, with tiles missing here and there, showing off patches of cement. Plus, the water pressure was barely there. Too tired to bother changing rooms, so we endure. And to top it off, the floor was sticky, so we wore our shoes in the room.
Then, the next morning, around 8am+, this guy who claiming to be a staff member but not dressed in uniform, used his card to enter our room while we were still asleep.
