Kway Teow Soup Set A8 (Consists of Braised Meat + Tripe + Tendon + Fresh Meat) = RM16.00 No Service Charge
So apparently this Beef Noodle Franchise first opened in 2007. It is quite Popular with some people claiming that they sell the Best Beef Noodles in JB. (Credits to Eatbook for some background infomation)
It's quite a Big Eatery that is Air-Conditioned (although still abit Stuffy) and the first thing you will notice is the Amazing Aroma of the Beef Broth wafting in the Air. I was quite amused with a signboard within that specifically reminded that there will be No Soup Refills. That's fine tbh, I've never heard of Beef Noodle shops doing Soup Refills. Bak Kut Teh Soup yes, but not Beef Noodles Soup.
The Chilli has a very Deep and Complex Sourish Garlic Taste that is Very Prominent throughout. The Spiciness is the type that creeps in slowly and lingers on your Tongue. This is a Good Chilli. Mixing the Chilli in enhances the Dish and gives it an Extra Perky Sourish Spicy Bite.
The Beef Broth looks very Gao Gao visually, but is Surprisingly Not Very Beefy at all. It's actually quite Mild with a Peppery Kick. If you are the type that prefers a more Milder Tasting Beef Soup, this will be right up your alley. Personally, I feel R&F Area Tin & Tin's Beef Broth that I reviewed previously does not lose to it. Both of them are equally Good IMO.
The Amount of Beef Pieces given are Generous for the Price and all of them are Thick Cuts. Tendon, Tripe and Braised Beef are all Beautifully Melt in your Mouth Soft, and Fresh Beef is Juicy and Tender. As I kept digging into the Meal, the Amount of Meats like Never End like that. That's how Generous the Amount of Beef is. Kway Teow is Silky Soft and Smooth, but its probably from Package. Portion given is also very Filling.
I enjoyed this meal very much and at the price of RM16.00 (S$4.80), I feel this is worth the price given the Quality and how Generous the Amount of Beef Pieces are given. A Similar Bowl in Singapore would have easily cost alot more.
Having said that, Tin & Tin at R&F that I reviewed previously is also very Good and won't lose to this one. Its nearer to CIQ and cheaper too. (RM11.00 for Small) although the amount of Beef Pieces is of course lesser than Din Kee.
This is worth your time and money to try. Highly Recommended!

Read moreStraight off my flight from KL, I took a chance to savour the beef noodles at Din Kee Beef Noodles, which had pretty good Google reviews. There was a queue when I arrived, but it was definitely worth the half-hour long wait. 😉 As a Singaporean beef noodles lover living and working in KL now for the last 6-odd years, Din Kee's beef noodles is by far the best I've tried in Malaysia, and in my opinion, it beats the beef noodles at Sin Kiew Yee Shin Kee Beef Noodles at Chinatown, KL by a gazillion-mile.
Since the fresh sliced beef was already sold out, I relented to the beef brisket mixed dry version, over a bed of soft and slippery thick Bee Hoon in gooey black sauce, topped with a sprinkle of peanuts and some pickled mustard greens.
Unlike all the other Beef Noodles that I had tried in Malaysia, Din Kee's beef brisket provided me with the level of beefiness I had been yearning for, that for some odd reason is lacking everywhere else in Malaysia. The beef brisket was tender and soft to the bite. 😋😋😋
The chilli condiment (infused with garlic) was also quite good, although a tad watery. Unlike most other, Din Kee's chilli condiment, which I enjoyed more, was spicy and did not contain that vinegary bite. 😋
Oddly, there were other non-beef dishes offered on the menu, such as fish noodles and porridge. I'm sure they all would have been good.
The staff was courteous, receptive and speedy with all my requests.
The only disappointment was that Din Kee does not replenish the beef soup once finished. Regardless, I happily ordered a separate bowl of soup (without noodles) with beef brisket, tripe and tendon in it. 😋😋😋
Total spending came to RM 26, including a can of Coke. Bang on the buck, considering the amount of beef brisket, tripe and tendon that were in my bowls of dry noodles, and soup! 👍
Will I make the trip back again? YES, YES, YES, I definitely...

After our delightful visit at the goat farm at @gentlefarms.my, the lovely couple who owns the farm brought us to this beef noodles place that’s very well patronised by the locals here.
As always, prices away from JB central starts to get cheaper and this is no exception.
The first thing that was apparent was the generous portions of beef in every bowl.
The beef meat is chunky and not the thin sliced ones you get back home. And yet, every piece is so well braised down it’s even more tender than some A4 wagyu first breed. And way more flavourful.
The tendons especially are a gastronomic joy to have, tender and yet retaining a gelatinous bite that’s made even better with the soaking of the delicious broth.
Speaking of the broth, it’s deep and savoury with a tinge of sweetness. But still clean and refreshing without having that overpowering feeling.
Needless to say, we drank the whole bowl down. And apparently no or little MSG either as we never suffered any lingering effects like some of the food we had in central.
The rice noodles though thick, had an unusual but enjoyable bite to it. Tasted more dense as if more rice flour is used but never too difficult to soak the beef broth in either.
It may be a bit further from central but we definitely feel it’s worth a 30 min drive to the west for this superb and comforting bowl of beef noodles.
