Check In : 6th Dec 2022.|Check Out : 7th Dev 2022.|Room No : 336.||LOCATION : The hotel is easily recognisable by its colour from the main Bukit Indah roundanout. From the outside, it does look as in the picture. It is located at Taman Bukit Indah, in the suburb of Skudai. For people who come to JB to work in the city centre area, this is NOT the hotel you will want to stay in. Bukit Indah is not anywhere near the city centre. It is however commendably near to the Kota Iskandar, Nusajaya and Legoland area. And since we came from Legoland, the hotel is just a short drive away. The area is lively day and night. There is a Tea Garden Kopitiam (Halal) behind the hotel, and 5 mins walk away, people can reach Burger King, McDonald and Aeon.|RECEPTION : The reception area is spacious, shiny and clean. The seating area looks cozy with matching sofas and also some nice decors. The check in process was super quick and easy. I was given a room key in less than 5 mins and the deposit is 100 ringgit (cash only). Kudos to your front staff. The elevator is card operated which is safe.|ROOM : 336 is a small yet cozy room. There is enough space for me to put my stuff around and for me to walk around. It is clean too. The bathroom is spacious and the water pressure and temperature are fine. There are many plugs around. The amenities are complete.|FACITLITY : The elevator is card operated. And there are plenty of parking spaces. I am pretty sure judging by the ramp, this hotel can cater to disable / elderly pretty well.|SATISFACTION :...

Check-in was slow and inefficient. The lift doors do not have sensors. Without pressing “open,” the doors will shut quickly and could injure guests. The room had a strong moldy smell and was dusty upon entry. Bed and linens were very old, rough, stained and carried an unpleasant odor. The “single bed” provided was extremely small, not even the size of a super single. At 12:30 AM, I received a call from the front desk offering late checkout. This could have been communicated during check-in or the next morning but instead guests were disturbed in the middle of the night. After 10/11 PM, the hotel main entrance is locked and requires security guard to open it. When we returned around 11 PM, the guard was asleep. We had to wake him up and he let us in without even checking if we were hotel guests. This raises serious concerns about safety and security. There is no private parking, only street parking via the MBJB app which requires minimum RM20 reload. This is inconvenient for out-of-town guests. While the exterior of the hotel looks presentable, the interior is old and poorly maintained.
Overall, the stay was uncomfortable and inconvenient. This hotel needs serious improvements in both facilities...
Read moreFirst time staying at Geobay Hotel, the location is good with lots of eateries nearby. About 10 to 15 mins walk to Aeon/Tesco.||||Hotel looks very clean and spacious (Lobby area). We've gotten the Executive Suite Twin. Room was okay just that their pillow was too soft and there's stains here and there on the sheets. The toilet was speckless, has bright lighting and a comfortable shower system. The sound proof of the room wasn't too great too, noises from the corridor can be heard clearly.||||Customer Service is something the hotel can improve on. Upon check in, the front desk will require you to forward your hotel booking confirmation to their email despite having a print out copy on your hand. You'll need to go through the hassle of digging the email out. Their staff sounded looked unfriendly through out, but it doesn't affect me too much as it was a short conversation. ||||In the evening as we were heading out, we heard a loud commotion when we reached Ground floor. We then realize it was the staff laugh/talking and even singing among themselves. It's okay when there's no guest around, but even when there's guest they don't...
