OYO 90403 North City Hotel — Hotel in Iskandar Puteri

Booked 1 double room and 1 family room for 1 night stay on 11 Nov 2023 in Oct 2023 via Booking.com and received email on the same day saying the reservation is confirmed. On 11 Nov 2023, the hotel PIC called and said they do not have any rooms for me. I asked why, he said the existing guests who checked-in 2 days earlier asked for extension, there were also some walked-in guests and I have not paid. So what? I've booked the rooms a few weeks ago and opted to pay at the hotel upon check-in when I was given the option. I did not ask to cancel the reservation, how could you give my rooms away to other people on the day I'm supposed to check-in with my family?!!! He told me there is an alternative hotel in the other area. Then why can't he asked the walked-in guests to go there?! I booked the rooms first. Don't give me lousy excuses. Just tell me it's long weekend, all other hotels in the area are fully booked, so the walked-in guests are willing to pay double the price. And that's the real reason why you are cancelling me last minute!! And the alternative hotel look like a ghost house, like no one has been staying there for a very long time. The rating is 4.1/10, lots of bad reviews. And the price is cheaper than what I had paid. So it's also a tactics to get guests / revenue for that unwanted hotel. My first and last time booking with OYO. For those who are reading this, please avoid it...

Room was spacious enough.The bed & pillows are comfy.The price is cheap but I'm very satisfied.I got clean towel,clean room, complete amenities (toothbrush,cotton buds,coffee, drinking water,hot shower, electric kettle,2 hangers), aircond & tv functioned well.There is elevator,so no worries if you have luggage.Water filter dispenser also available at the ground floor.TF Mart is just opposite hotel.Go there and you can have Nasi Ayam which is quite tasty,at the 2nd floor,,the shop is exactly in front of the escalator.
