G5 Hotel & Serviced Apartment — Hotel in Johor

This moment im writing, the hotel is still blacked out. I just woke up around 12.45am to find myself drenched in sweat with aircon and light turned off. We checked the switch box and confirmed there is no electricity. We tried to call using the hotel phone but no line. We called the hotel using our phone but to no avail. We are at 14th floor and we dont dare to venture out for fear of anything dreadful possibilities. We wished that a hotel personnel would come and tell us what is happening but no one came. We had to open the windows lest no air and tolerate the noise coming from the nearby clubs. ||We forgot to check their reviews before booking this hotel. They have all the bad reviews. But we were quite desperate for a family room as it was last minute and no other hotel was available with family room. Already the hotel is so run-down, ||the bed made us itchy, with mouldy smell in it. The tv channels were not working with only 3 buzzing local channels available. If you are not chinese or Malay, you wont understand a single thing! No wifi! Earlier visit to the small and share-with-resident swimming pool showed dirty water wiyh dont-know-whay-residue in the pool. Being in this darkness with nothing to to turn to and subjected to this anger and frustration on a holiday is worst that anyone shouldnt expreince. This hotel, on top of the other bad reviews and mine, should detere anyone from booking amd avoud it at all course. Even if no other hotel is available, DONT BOOK THIS HOTEL. The frustration being in will not beat the frustration of not going on a holiday. It should close down for good and should not continue to operate. The price totally doesn’t fit the room quality and services.Room dirty and dusty. The walls had become mouldy.Towels didn’t clean properly as there is blood stain on the first day and a dead small cockroach sticking on it on the second day towel.As for the service it is ridiculously bad. After the first night we requested to change the room as the air cond were making noise repeatedly for the whole night. We requested them to fix it but at the end after they checked. We were told it was because it is an old air condition and it can’t be fix.The receptionist named Nazatul, really rude and bad service from her. This is the first time I receive this kind of service from a hotel. She does not want to change the room for us. Things got suspicious when first I told her I am staying here 4 nights. If today don’t have then next day we change when you have the room. At first she said ok but then she change again say will not have any room to change until the day I check out. So I requested to see or talked to the management and this is when things changed. She immediately called someone over the phone and then surprisingly we have a room to change. At first Nazatul said no more room to change but why suddenly there is after a phone call? The reason is very simple, she does not want to change the room for us at all! At the end we got the new room but we are not satisfied with it as we were given a cheaper room compared to the one we booked because they were no windows and for no window room rates are lower. With frustration, we decided to book another hotel and let the remaining two nights burned because we don’t want to stay in G5 Hotel and ruined our vacation. We will not return to this hotel anymore. .:: I got this room from Agoda, (which for me is quite a good deal). There was mix reviews but you gotta experience it first, aite? So, my room is at the lower ground near the car park, and the entrance is secured with a key card. The room was quite big and spacious, thanks for that. It was clean, the bathroom was clean and everything's working.||||Now, since the room location is nearby the car-park, the noise outside can be heard, quite clearly. It might be a bother for others, and mind you, you might heard some noise at night as well. Nope, i'm not gonna spook you guys, just take it as an adventurous night (especially if you're a solo traveller).||||My booking came with a free breakfast. But hey, it was so very mediocre, you will cry. Why, why oh why all those fried rice must be so effing plain, just add some Maggi cukup rasa laaaaaa. I tried challenging my sophisticated palates for you guys, and nuff said, go have breakfast somewhere else.||||The staff. Yep, some of those at the counters are not very friendly. I try to understand you must be tired and all, but hey, you're working at the front desk. If you're not happy there, please ask the management for a change place. Both guests and you will be happier. The guy who showed me the room is friendly, smiling all the way. I preferred him and the parking guys compared to the female staffs.||||Cockroaches. I found one !!!! i hit with the slippers.
