Went on Tuesday around 9pm and seeing the popular one have a lot of tables cramped together, I chose to eat at here instead as it’s less crowded and spacious to dine.
Friendly and prompt service from this restaurant, and they asked if we are ok to sit outside. We agreed as at that time there was only one group of customer dining outside.
Lala hot pot cost RM37+, with many variety of side dishes ranges from RM6.90 to RM18.90 for us to choose from.
We also ordered their prawn paste which taste nice also. Their seafood/side dishes are fresh too.
The lala pot was filled with 1kg of clams and with a lot of ginger which I personally find it a bit over but the soup is still good to drink. The clams meat were big but I saw a few clams meat are small. Not too sure if they mix big and small together… The condiment area, however, have a few ants crawling around the container area but not inside the container. Hope they can maintain the cleanliness.
Have not tried the popular lala hot pot yet so I cannot determine which one taste nicer, but you can give Lala Pro Max a chance if you’re nearby and prefer spacious less cramp dining area.
We ordered and cost us RM182+ 1 x Lala pot 1 x prawn paste 2 x pork belly, 1 x beef, 1 x quail egg, 1 x imitation abalone, 1 x tiger prawn and 1 jug of chrysanthemum tea 2...

The lala soup was ok, they were very generous with the lalas though. Our first pot got replaced cos the lady (boss?) said that ours had a funny smell and most prob had 1-2 bad lalas inside. Too bad 2nd time no show, ie no big fire haha
Maybe cos we didn't order via online so they got a few of our orders wrong:
Overall, let the ingredients cook first so the soup will taste better towards the end. Initial taste not to our family liking.

Its a good place to try out the hype. Service is good...
Read moreWas initially keen to try Dai Tao Lala hotpot, but the queue was too long (at least 45 mins wait) and daunting with young children in tow. I walked over to Lala Pro Max to take a look and found staff cleaning up in indoor table with aircon, I asked if he could help set up the table for me while I inform and bring and family over from Dai Tao queue. Staff was very helpful and polite.
Glad I ate here. The lala soup was delicious, the indoor seating was comfortable! We finished every drop of the soup as it was too delicious. Recommend the prawn paste and beef slices! Staff was responsive & helpful to put up a metal heat shield around the hot claypot to reduce the temperature at the table. Thumbs-up! I had a very happy and satisfying family meal here and will be back again given the chance. :)
They sell jugs of self serviced beverages and food from the fridge, which is great. See what, like what, choose what. I only wish they also sell soft drinks in addition to the other drinks...
