I am Jazz Boutique Hotel — Hotel in Johor

Consider this if you are on a budget Pros

1. cheap SGD$35 for a night
2. besides the hotel is an air conditioned mixed rice food restaurant -cheap
3. nearby lots of stalls
4. near to night market (open on sun)
5. good air con (mitsubishi electric)
6. budget rain shower with really hot water

Cons

1. though the hotel was awarded high points in 2015 and 2016, they could no longer maintain it. I have booked 2 rooms where i found either one of the rooms having (used condom cover), (numerous dead mosquitoes killed by its evidence of bodies sticking unto the walls), (stains dripplets on some parts of wall), MOST IMPORTANTLY, towers and bedsheets are no longer white, fragrant and rough when touched (washed using cheap chemicals). There are also mosquitoes flying in the room as their process to clean by chambermaids is to open the windows to air the rooms, inevidently allowing flys to come in.
2. tv is panasonic but dont have media player
3. hotel room floor and bath room floor feels cheapo
4. one room has smoked smell
5. floors felt greasy and not smooth when walk barefooted

Conclusion: if you dont mind alittle stained bedsheets, rougher towels, spotted stained walls, then stay here.

Cleaniness: 6.5 Staff friendliness: 7.5 (receptionist and chambermaids from nepal) Comfy feeling: 6 Location: 7.5 Cool factor look: 7.5 (it looks amazing if you see the hotel from outside with its lighting on) Size of room: 8 (its relatively bigger) Decoration inside room: 6 (feels cheapo)

My recommendation to the management:

1. review your cleaning room process. (Especially on "flys")
2. change new bedsheets, towels or wash them with other detegents- softerner etc
3. mop your floors (use other kind of cleaning solutions that makes ur floor feel smooth and comfy
4. consider to remove transit hours unless your operation team is able to clean them up.

Loved:* Clean hotel that smelled fresh everywhere. No mouldy, damp smells 😅 * Clean rooms* Love the 2 types of pillows & the little cushion. Very comfy beds too!* Amazing service. I supposed to check in on 25th Nov. I request for early check in as I’m traveling from Penang to JB! Staff informed to me “ I can’t chase out the guest, check in time is 2pm” I understand check in time is 2pm but priority is for all the guest rite! The staff are very rude! I reached JB at 6.45 n I called them to reconfirm about my early check in ! Morning shift staff told me I can check in at 12.30! I did waited n I try to call them to check whether my room is ready or not! But no answer from them at all! At 2pm I walk-in to the hotel! Staff easily can said no electricity n you can check in now and come at again at 7pm! I don’t know is this their SOP! At least they should tell me can’t check in now as no electricity! Both manager n staff informed me can check in n leave my luggage in the room n can come back at 7pm! Really a useless service ! As I did booking thru Agoda! I have to call them to cancel my booking without penalty! Agoda called hotel n ask hotel to waive the charges but hotel refused to waive as they inform Agoda it is not their problem...
