Was here on a Monday evening for dinner with my parents, not very crowded when we were there and was able to get a sit quite easily.
The waitress told my parents to scan the QR code on the table to make the order. As my parents were not very IT savvy, they kindly rejected and ask for alternative that's where they bring out paper chit to place the order instead. However during the whole time i find that the waitress was not particularly helpful in service and this is especially bad given that the place is not very packed at that moment
Ordered the Fish Head Steamboat, BBQ Pork Rib and KL Hokkien Mee together with 2 rice the bill was approximately RM75
Fish Head Steamboat was very flavourful especially with the tomatoes added which is something that not all places does. The portion is guidance is quite accurate with the dish sufficient catered to 3 of us. Do also note that this fish does not have the whole fish head. Instead we were given chopped pieces of fish head meat that has been pan-fried each of us has around 2-3 pieces of meat in total.
BBQ Pork Rib feels like the normal Pork Rib King ( 排骨王) that is available everywhere in most Chinese eating place. Also in the attached picture you're able to see the arrangement of the pork rib is kind of weird, putting everything on the right side of the plate, leaving a huge chunk of place empty on the left giving it a pathetic look. Overall the portion is still accurate just need to be mindful about the overall display of the food.
KL hokkien mee, their supposedly signature dish is OK, would expect more fried pork lard in the dish to bring a different texture to the dish. Also will prefer to have a stronger wok hey taste as compared to what I was served. The addition of cuttlefish within the dish is not something I've...
Read moreThis shop is said to serve the best hokkein mee in town. I hadn't tried anything else, so I didn't have anything to compare it to. I heard that folks came from all around to taste the hokkein mee here. This is a disappearing dish which used to be served by many restaurants, and today, there aren't many restaurants that serve this classic cuisine. The restaurant added a twist of their own touch by adding king prawns on top of the noodles. There were enough seats for a large gathering. There is plenty of parking in the nearby regions. If you can't find a parking spot outside the restaurant, you may have to walk a bit further. The hokkein mee was great, and the bitter goud was unique. It had a strong taste of salted eggs. You either like it or hate it. So, choose this food with caution if you are particular with dominant particular flavour. My favourite dish was the classic stuffed egg plant and tofu. All of the foods goes really well with jasmine tea. Make sure you don't forget to include it in your dinner. It is also refreshing to finish off a nice meal with a touch of hot...
Read moreBoth sweet and sour pork, and fish hotpot are pretty good. In fact, went there for hokkien mee, but it didn't turn how to be as great as claimed, least even compare to KL's. Service? Service doesnt exist in this restaurant. Down right bad, thumb down. Visited the place at 1:30pm, after the busy lunch hour hoping for a quick meal. They had us waited for 45min before the first dish was served. Told us they were busy, but only 5 table of customers, including us. If that's not bad enough, even paying after meal took more than 10 min, for there was only one customer paying in front of us. When it was our turn, they had to reprint the bill twice as they claimed missing items not charged. Made us pay twice via e-payment. Suggested to them that they could have processed the missed out small amount by cash, the cashier in the picture retorted loudly, "This is our top management order, the mode of payment must be the same!!" Goodness, you made the mistake giving me wrong bill, and yet still so garang. Never again, spoilt our day. There are many more places to make your day our...
