THE GRILL AT SAMILA RESTAURANT — Restaurant in Kedah

I am not from this area and came here for a business trip.

Eventually the dinner was delicious and good however this morning it was a a night and day heaven and hell experience

I came in the cafe, water was like tap water not cold. Server was asking stupid question and I am doing my own thing.

Asked for a mushroom soup don't have, get a tomato soup.

Taste, tomato soup like TOMYAM

Ask for a garlic bread don't have, get a scramble toast

I waited 25 minutes for my toast and scrambled and another table order main course got serve 3 plate and another plate only I get my scramble and toast,

I was there 15 minutes before the next table and order mine first and it's a starter meal.

Server both are no well trained asking ridiculous questions such as are you student, you check out, never seen you before, and so many soalan bodoh.

Communication between the server and kitchchen are messy and one says is coming and have it another mentioned the things I order does not have it and order another thing.

During payment, yesterday night I order a chicken chop pay with paywave and eventually today I bring my card and they won't accept the paywave or the card and asking for me to give my privacy 16 digit card number for them to make the transaction.

Worst id the worst cafe I ever came across my entire life as a chef, as a waiter and a food lover.

Shame on the staff, people in charge need to wake up and make some changes.

Old design, menu is not change, food is not delicious,...

So sad today. I brought my daughter and son in law to bring back old memories at this cafe. We ordered few dishes. But very disappointed that this 1 staff force us to take the dish that we didn't ordered. We didn't touch it at first but he kept saying that they will give discounts for that dish. At the end, we decided to tapau it. Turns out the so called discount he mentioned was only RM2. Huh. Macam tak discount pun lah sebenarnya. Dah lah paksa orang. Lepas tu ikan yang di tapau tu pula di patahkan 2 ya. FYI kami tak sentuh pun lagi ikan tu. Order lain, yang sampai lain. Macam kena scam lah pula. He kept forcing us to ambil juga ikan tu. And unfortunately for us, manager pun was not around. Hmmmm. What so unlucky day. Baru ingat lepas raya nanti nak datang 1 family. Blacklisted dah lah cafe ni. Customer service out. Not...

The place isn’t packed when we were having lunch here and we were lucky to get a parking space just in front of the hotel. Honestly, the food is very average; the chicken chop feels cheap while the fish dishes aren’t very good due to the fish being frozen and not fresh.

There was no problem with the service as our food and drinks arrived promptly without waiting too long.

However, one could be forgiven for thinking the food prices here is a little expensive with the food quality we are getting. All-in-all, it is best to give this place a pass if you value good...
