I recently had the misfortune of staying at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Kuala Lumpur and feel compelled to share my experience to caution others. Upon my early morning arrival, exhausted from an international flight and burdened with luggage, the lack of customer service was immediately apparent. The staff exhibited poor communication skills, showed no respect or sympathy, and I was rudely instructed to transport my own luggage to the third level without assistance.
The disappointment continued upon entering my room. I was greeted by a pervasive, unpleasant odor emanating from stained and dirty carpets. The room's cleanliness was severely lacking, with no toiletries provided in the bathroom, and the linen was unclean, appearing dull and pale. The television, although functional, seemed like a relic from decades past.
Safety concerns arose when I needed to charge my phone but found only a charging port with exposed electrical wires. This felt hazardous, yet I had no other choice. Moreover, the toilet in the bathroom was leaking, adding to the general sense of neglect.
Basic amenities like tea, coffee, milk, or sugar were absent, despite these being standard in most accommodations. When inquired about the services mentioned in the booking, the response was dismissive, indicating such amenities weren't provided.
Most distressingly, the unhygienic conditions led to physical discomfort. I developed itching all over my body due to the dirt and smell, and lying on the unclean bed made me feel sick. Unable to tolerate these conditions, I canceled my booking after just three hours and urgently relocated to another hotel for the remainder of my 15-day stay.
I strongly advise against booking at the Grand Pacific Hotel Kuala Lumpur for either personal or business travel. If you have already made a reservation and are reading this review, I recommend reconsidering your choice immediately for the sake of your comfort and well-being. Don't let a poor hotel experience ruin your visit to...
Read moreI booked a twin single bedroom. Additional RM50 Deposit to be paid upon arrival of stay. A good idea to have a screenshot if your online booking since any glitches is not the responsibility of the hotel. They made me wait for a while, (3 hours), before having me checked-in. It wasn't an issue for me since it was not urgent. One bed was clean. However, another bed was dirty, whereby, the white sheet had stains of black. Probably might be due to the design. 2x500ml Water bottles, Toilet Paper, Tissue Box, 1 small shampoo and 1 small body shower liquid provided free. Towels & Electric Kettle lent. The room was extremely spacious. Had a large mirror & a Dressing Table. Had a window. It also comes with a doorbell for any visitors to ring before entering. There's also a doorhole to glance at visitors waiting outside. Common iron provided at the corridor of rooms. Wi-Fi is extremely slow. However, it should be stronger at the lobby where there are desks to do your work. Quite near to KTM station. There's a bus route nearby. There are also Chinese and Pakistani restaurants nearby. Besides restaurants theres a 24 hour Convenience store. I checked out early at 5am in the morning so I had to knock the locked glass door of the lobby to request my Deposit back. Lift was not working early in the morning, the receptionist told me it was spoilt without me even asking.Hence, it would be good to have your room booked at the lower floors if you would like to check out early in the morning, since it would be easier to vacate your room. I booked Grab and although the map showed elsewhere as the pick up point, the Driver was waiting right in front...

We stayed as a family and the room allotted to my mum and dad was quite small and facing the road side and yes the hotel rests right in front of a flyover...so there was the added noise from cars zipping across all night and the view is not that great either from the front and neither from the back where me and my bro's room was...The showers are need of some serious attention as they were not good at all not in terms that there was no hot water but imagine standing under the shower head and only three individual streams are flowing down on your head... would not really call it a shower as well...staff is friendly but don't expect them to assist you with your luggage as they don't provide for this facility... wifi was a problem in my room ...the only good part of staying in hotel was it's cafe since it's a bit sound proof.and..its nice and huge i enjoyed my morning breakfast along side the road shielded by thick glass which stops the...
