Ok, so it goes like this. This place was introduced to me by my Mum's friend over a decade ago. Been there like only 3 times. First off, it's pretty far from where I live and it never really made it to my Bak Kut Teh to go to list.
The previous times I came here was about 10 years ago. Brought my late grandfather here once and he loved it. It wasn't disappointing at all for both of us. Wish I could had taken him here a few more times.
This time somehow I was called upon to have Bak Kut Teh after for a very long time. And I haven't been out having it for about 3 years now due to the pandemic. And when I was called upon, I immediately thought of this place, so I took my parents along.
All 4 times I came here, it's never crowded, it's normally me and maybe another table or 2. So maybe people tend to see the crowd and assume it isn't really good at all. But let me tell you, never ever judge it this way as oh boy you'll be missing out on many potentially good foods.
So ordered their regular Bak Kut Teh and their special intestines in soup dish. That's what I'm here for as well, and if you like intestines, try them and pray they have it cleaned thoroughly, yeah, there are cases around.
First off, soup is really really dark, near black. The soup doesn't have those strong aromatic fragrance of herbs but this is pretty good for me. Portions are adequate, meat could have been more varied but still ok. The intestines are a lot, I don't know if they go with number of pax or not.
I've been to many yet not too many places for Bak Kut Teh but this place seemed to be above them all. It wasn't disappointing at all again, and both my parents were very pleased with it. We ordered a 3 pax portion and we were all super full by the end of the meal and it was money well spent. All for RM80. And now this shall be my Bak Kut Teh to go...

Damn chewy, cannot even eat the meat bro. The soup too salty. No herbal taste. Just salt. Staff (the guy) damn unfriendly, never clearly tell us what is it I thought I ordered the soup w the lettuce in the soup but is actually a big plate of meh lettuce fried in idk what sauce. Damn pathetic sia. Also their opening hours inaccurate, we slightly before dinner time (google says open) but they were closed. Annoyed. Probably won’t come back. SAD. You see the photo diff u can see also the difference. Dk isit the lady in the afternoon cares more than the guy at night.

Read moreBan Lee Bak Kut Teh has been around for ages (according to the KLites). The soup is slightly milder than Klang's bak kut teh but you can still taste the distinct herbal flavour. If you are a person who must have strong flavours, this might not be for you.
The meat came generously cut but inconsistent in taste. Some meat were flavourful, but some were a bit dry. That happens if you ask for ribs with less fat. The portions were big for 3 persons (if you happen to be ladies who are small eaters).
The shop has been around for ages, so it's a little run down. But no one really cares if the food is good. This place is always packed but people do eat fast, tables are cleared very quickly, food is served within 10 minutes.
We ordered for 3 persons with one plate of veggie, 1 serving of braised taufu pok, 1 serving of fried yauchar kway (fried bread), 2 bowls of rice and a pot of hot Chinese tea. The bill...
