OYO Homes 90253 Star Regency Hotel Apartment — Hotel in Pahang

Were there oaccommodating at the airbnb in Star Regency. Had a bad days towards the stay because the BOMBA lift was not properly maintained and we are stuck in the lift for a moment, pressing bell and seek for help but no one replied and assist. After a while then the lift back to normal but operate at a very slow pace. Reaching the units, tot everything was fine. Noticed that the mattress have some kind of small bugs which caused my kids to feel itchy on their body. We are charged RM80 for cleaning fees which is normal but we are disappointed with the bugs found at both the mattress etc. We are wondering, since they are charging RM80 for cleaning fee. How come they dont realy ensure the cleaniness of the unit / mattress etc ? ||Luckily we brought some sleeping bags along with us and we slept at the living but not the bed. Other than this, we are required to deposit RM300 when we checked in. Higher than the deposit charged by hotel. So not so recommended for others to try our the airbnb.||The only good thing is the weather in Cameron Highland and it is near to the Billion Hypermarkets which makes purchasing of daily good easier. But i am sure there were lots nearby airbnb or hotel that better than...

I had one of the worst stays at Star Regency. After paying RM600+ for 2 nights, the unit was in terrible condition.

Water Heaters – All faulty. One even gave out a burning smell. The technician only came late evening to “fix” it, but the problem returned. With the cold weather in Cameron Highlands, this completely ruined the stay.

Water Supply – On the second day, there was no water at all. We couldn’t shower or even use the toilets and had to go to the mall just to use the washroom. Totally unacceptable.

Internet / WiFi – The internet didn’t work throughout the stay. We couldn’t use the TV or connect any devices. When reported, there was no proper solution.

Management Response – Instead of taking responsibility, they gave all kinds of excuses. Even the manager Patrick went missing at the end, clearly knowing the building maintenance is terrible. For the price charged, this is a huge disappointment.

Overall, the poor maintenance and lack of accountability from the management completely spoiled our holiday. After 8 years we came back to Cameron Highlands, and this is the worst experience we’ve had. Definitely not worth the money, and I would NOT recommend Star...

I was miserable at this hotel. It had a depressing decor and energy, the bathroom was dirty, and it was above a mosque that has loudspeakers calling time for prayer several times a day and proving a sermon or something afterwards. It went off at 5am, 6am and for half an hour after that. It went off almost hourly in the evening and some sort of sermon was delivered and did not stop from 7ish to after 9. I was so so close to leaving the hotel altogether, except that I wanted to see the tea fields in the morning. It was also noisy with people shouting and shuffling furniture upstairs from us until after midnight. The car park was dangerous with broken and rusty guardrails or none at all in the most narrow space where it would be easy to drive off the edge. I was so relieved to leave this place and cannot for a second understand any 4 or 5 star ratings for this dilapidated hotel, never mind even a 3.
