Hotel Pangkor SJ — Hotel in Pangkor Island

Rooms are small and clean. They have a cold/hot water purifier, clean towels and toiletries were provided. They have a dining area (no food is provided) in the ground floor. They provide 2 access cards which is good, and there's enough parking space for car/bike. New establishment so on the whole it was clean.

There's a 7-Eleven store nearby which is open 24/7 and 2 small restaurants which open for lunch and dinner nearby but nothing for breakfast. For breakfast you need head towards the beach side. Lots of duty free shops nearby to get chocolates, perfumes, crockery.

Negatives: The bathroom floor was wet, they need to mop the floor before giving it to the next guest. Due to the poor design the water just stagnates in the bathroom.

Also, we didn't like the fact that the receptionist was asking us to check out before 12. We walked into hotel at 11:40 after an early lunch and person at the counter was asking us to ensure that we check out asap. We had done all our packing in the morning and just needed 5 mins to check out!

They can skip providing plastic bottles in the room since they already have a water...

The pros: Conveniently located in between jetty/town and the beach. There are a few duty free shops within walking distance and 7E is just next door. The receptionists are friendly.

The cons: We stayed at the windowless double bed room, and it is quite small, and has the musty damp smell, and the wall shows it too, and no it's not the kind of smell that you'll get used to after 10 mins. The room is not exactly clean because there were web dusts around the walls and ceilings. The room is not soundproof, I can hear the person next door shaving clinking the shaver on the sink as if that person is next to me! Creepy to be woken up by the sound ngl! Also, the pillow is too soft and flat...

1. New hotel, all things are newly bought. TV, Bed etc
2. All Staff people are very kind and helpful.
3. I paid RM 118 peak season for standard room
4. Need to walk around 500 meters to reach the beach
5. Rooms are neat and clean
6. You have hot and cold water dispenser, also have 3-1 coffee to prepare.
7. Staff will help you to get Bike on rent and also will book for you to go to Jetty.
8. Also saw ironing near water dispenser but we might not use.
9. Got dinning space in front of lobby , can eat or have coffee or just sit on sofa.
