came to this restaurant on a Thursday for lunch, this is what I have to say
AMBIENCE : nicely decorated, definitely have the "Balinese" vibe.
what we ordered:
SERVICE : The staff looks very unmotivated. The server brought 3 different sauces but did not mentioned which sauces is made for which dish.
overall experience was mixed but more towards the negative side as most food fail to meet my expectation. However, the one bright side is they have a large amount of choices to pick from the menu ( but their QC of all dishes are well maintain and turnover is high, if not then you are probably getting dishes made god know how long ago ) .

Read moreOrdering from the menu was a breeze. Staff was very responsive and when contacted for menu and to place my order via WhatsApp. A small miscalculation in the total amount, staff quickly highlighted after payment was made, apologized and offered to refund:- appreciate the honesty. I didn't want the refund as it was a small amount. Hence I requested to add on another item from the menu which costs the same amount. Staff was kind and honest to point out that based on my current order, adding the requested item would be too much and thoughtfully suggested to replace with a dessert from the menu even though it is pricier than the refund value as a gesture of apology as well. I happily accepted. Delivery was quick, as I requested immediate delivery upon order, meal was ready and collected by Grab Express 15mins after order and payment were finalized (1 appetizer, 4 individual ala carte mains with rice and sides, 1 ala carte grilled prawns, 1 dessert). Delivery arrived within 20mins after collection. Estimated distance between restaurant to destination is about 12km during dinner hours. A little confusion from the delivery guy who seemed to expect me to pay him the toll fare he spent for the delivery..... Food was delicious. Prawns were ok. Not consistent in terms of freshness. Everything was packed with flavour except the Bebek Mepanggang, needed more seasoning we reckon. The 2 varieties of Sambal were really good. Choice between spicy and really super spicy 🔥. Portion sizes were acceptable, however, could be bigger for the price point per dish. Dessert was ok. Not too sweet but will not purposely order it. Overall, an enjoyable dinner. Family approved. Thank...
Read moreFrom the first time going to Uma Bali which is located in the quieter area of Kota Damansara, I've been smitten by the Balinese style exterior and interior of the restaurant not forget to mention the awesome food.
It wasn't easy affair as the restaurant is normally fully booked on weekends, just like what I'd experience prior to this. The sheer quality of food made me wanted to bring the extended family to try the food. I made early reservation as there were 11 of us.
A la carte food is available from the menu but for those who do not want to crack their head thinking on what to eat, they do have a few packages (set) that easily feed 3-4 pax. We ordered 2 sets of Paket A (RM145) consisted of:
Main dishes ◾Grilled Pork Ribs ◾Balinese Lamb Curry ◾Balinese Grilled Chicken
Standard dishes ◾Pork Sausage ◾Pork Satay ◾Fish Satay ◾Potato Fries ◾Vegetables ◾Egg Sambal ◾Sambal Tomat ◾Sambal Embo ◾Sambal Kecap ◾4 servings of rice - white, yellow or black bean rice (can mix!)
Never in my life to see such a hungry horde devouring the entire platter in record time.. the food was as good as I remembered as the meats were grilled competently and full of spices. We had to order few extra a la carte items as some of us were not satiated yet.
The value-for-money dish will be their packages so make sure to come in a group of at...
