Sea House Café — Restaurant in Malé

This evening I go for a cup of coffee to this lovely place and I order for a coffee and then in 3 minutes the coffee came and it was cold than I tel the waiter to bring me a hot coffee and the waiter bring me a hot coffee in1 minute and I felt good. it was so hot I can see the steam vapor from my cup than I waited for 3 minutes to get my hand on the cup than I see some black burned particles down on my cup of coffee I felt wired and took it to my fingers and feel what was it and smelled it and it smell like a burning stove! Than I drink the coffee in the cup and it wasn't like a lavaza coffee than I said to the waiter what you have done was not good.the waiter said what's the matter? And I said to the waiter face I gave order to bring a hot coffee not to heat from a burning stove! the waiter said sir you told me to make it hot so i gave to the kitchen to heat the coffee.Than i said i gave order to bring me a hot cup of coffee not to heat my coffee from the kitchen cooking stove. And after 2 years later the dinamics of the place has started to chnge the new staffs who serve the costomore are showing a good expression to us I went for a office staff morning breakfast was very plasent and the food was really good and surprising that one of our staffs birthday and we did enjoy the happy environment...

The only good thing is where this restaurant is located. By the sea and you can catch a glimpse of sunset before dinner. Service staff was friendly and accommodating. Once it gets dark, everything went downhill from there.

Food was served really late. Ordered a watermelon juice, not a tiny bit sweet at all. When food arrived, had missing items on my plate and when asked, they replied it fell off and will get a new one. Which came back after 20 minutes.

Cutlery served was incomplete. We ordered for soup and no soup spoons or soup bowls provided. Asked for drinking glasses, took them a while before 1 was offered. Ordered for a seafood platter only to be disappointed again. The crabs was bad. It tasted and smelled awful. Fish was hard and tasteless.

Food was sent back and chef wanted to prepare a new one but declined the offer. Restaurant should have better lightings, quality of food and beverages served. Thinking that amazing seafood would be served? Not in...

I really enjoy the wide variety of foods, buffets, taste, location, and the beautiful view at Seahouse Cafe, which is why it’s one of my go-to restaurants. However, over the years, I’ve been hoping for changes in the interior design, offerings, presentation, and especially the service speed. Unfortunately, these aspects have remained unchanged, with service promptness being a recurring issue. Often, the waitstaff seems to ignore us even when we try to get their attention, and they don’t communicate about delays. I frequently experience long wait times, especially when ordering from the à la carte menu, which makes me feel that the service doesn’t align with the pricing. I would never choose à la carte if I’m in a hurry. It’s disappointing to see no improvements in these areas over such a long period.
