On the first day of our vacation we eat the most delicious fried calamari and octopus here! The waiter, a young boy, was very polite and kind, we felt extraordinary here! On the last evening of our vacation we decided to come back here again to leave with a pleasant taste from this wonderful place, Xlendi! We booked a table for the evening through the same waiter and ordered 2 large portions of calamari. But this time the calamari were burnt, bitter, hard as a rock, overcooked or in old oil. We were hungry... we ate them, with difficulty. At the end when he asked us how it was, we answered honestly that they were not as we expected, as we had eaten a few evenings before. The waiter said he was sorry, that he could cook us another portion again, or that we should accept a dessert on the house. We did not accept anything else, we just asked to pay and leave. Another waiter came with the bill, who in a rude and cheeky tone (I thought he was going to slap me), shouted that he came to ask if everything was ok and I didn't tell him they weren't good. Well, he came when we were almost finished eating, not as he claimed at the first sip. But I had no one to talk to, I gave up. I paid by card, I didn't even get to see the bill because he took it with him, probably convinced that I wouldn't leave any tips after such experience. In conclusion, I've never had a similar experience in any restaurant in this world. So clearly, my recommendation is.. to avoid. We were lucky after this mess with the public party in the middle of the cliff that cheered us up, put us in a good mood and made us forget about the incident and enjoy the last evening of vacation in this wonderful...

For 12 years now, I've been coming to Xlendi with friends several times a year. I'd never been to this restaurant before. The 4.8 rating really surprised me, and we were really looking forward to it. Even though there were free tables, we had to persuade the waiters to reserve a table for us. Our table was right on the edge of the embankment with a beautiful view of the bay. That's where the restaurant's positive qualities ended. We waited a few minutes for menus, and after we'd attracted attention, they brought us a one menu for four people. We discovered there was a special menu that day by chance, seeing a dish on a neighboring table that wasn't on the menu. More than half an hour passed after we ordered. Everyone else was served bread, olive oil, etc. Ours was only brought after we asked for it. Our order was ready an hour later. Everything was brought to us at the same time, both appetizers and main courses. Only one of us enjoyed the meal. The baked fish wasn't bad, but the rest of the food was incredibly salty. The restaurant's restroom was in terrible condition. We paid 140 euros. We saw guests at the next table being offered drink on the house. We weren't offered anything. I highly...

Wow this is the best restaurant I’ve been too if someone calls it a hidden gem then Il call it the whole treasure chest. It is nestled between the valley cliffs and in front of the calm sea in the evening night it gives off a serene atmosphere. They chef cooked everything with perfect technique and timing. The food was truly excellent, for starters we had seafood 🦪🦐🍤linguini with home made marinara tomato sauce sourced from local farmers and the flavor was perfect. As main course we had duck🦆 breast which the way it was seared it gave a truly flavorful oak 🪵 char on the outside. We finished with a delicious chocolate fondant and ice cream with the fondant being 80% melty goodness 😋 the chef timed it just right.

Even the service was excellent the waitress Veronica was very pleasant and lovely and recommended some of the best cocktails 🍸 I had.
