Las Residencias Golf & Beach Club — Hotel in Baja California Sur

We purchased in this place right after we were married several years back .At that time we were told we would have the same place each year. Then we find out you have to book a year in advance to get that. Then found out you just get whatever whenever so we pay more to get the week we wanted but then find out it's where ever!!! So, like fools, we pay more to get this certain suite on a certain week each year. Ok, great, that would be fantastic to know we could do that so we paid more and would you believe we have been there 3 years now to never get that suite we paid for but we have been put in the same room (not a suite) we had before and after paying thousands more for! Again, with nothing working in it-hot tub NEVER works and most appliances never work.||This last time we went-this year-same thing happens and, would you believe we called all the way up to the day before to make sure we got our suite and they tell us yes and that they need payment then. we get there and guess what, we get stuck in a plain room again with hot tub not working along with other appliances!||It does no good what so ever to complain because those people taking calls for the BIG GUYS are all useless! We are told those BIG GUYS just say too bad!||So, I am going to try and do the only thing I feel I should do and that is to warn people about this place and that you should save your money!!!||I can't even begin to express how much it upsets me to know that these people will allow us to spend our hard earned money just to lie to us and never give us what we...

The resort itself is very nice. The grounds are beautiful and all of the amenities are top notch. The suite, however, was awful. The deck Jacuzzi was clearly broken with a layer of slime on the bottom. The master hot tub was also not functional and the sink knobs fell off when turned. There is a coffee machine with two cups and no where to buy/request more than the two single use coffee packets provided the first day. When brought to the manager, he informed us that this property is not part of the "hotel" and we should contact the Residence, but could not or would not provide contact information. He was unable or unwilling to move us to another suite or make any attempt to work with us to resolve our complaints. He did send workers to try fix the outside tub. They were present in the suite the first evening until nearly 8pm and the following day...all day. That is absolutely unacceptable. No one wants to stay in a luxury suite with workers coming and going through your master bedroom all day long.||We went to the hotel for breakfast and were greeted by the staff wanting us to sit through a timeshare presentation. We declined and they were clearly irritated.||I cannot recommend that...

Property and rooms were nice and staff seemed nice....at first. Went through the timeshare sales presentation and thought Omar was trustworthy so didn't realize we were being scammed. Holding his hand over pertinent parts of the contract should have alerted us, but he was good! Read the details that night, tried to cancel the next day and that started 9 months of drama! Despite his ridiculing us that his company would just move the court date around and he would see to it we were arrested if we came back to Mexico, the Mexican government agency (Profeco) helped and we followed Mexican law so we got our money back. What a nightmare though. Found out this company has changed names numerous times and had a lot of problems with authorities. We've never had an experience like this and have purchased 2 other timeshares in Mexico and been coming for over 15...
