Better than expected! My wife and I travel a lot, we normally stay in all 5 star all inclusive resorts throughout Mexico, as many already know, no such thing in La Paz. This was our third trip to La Paz, we are here for the diving.

After a ton of research, on other hotels and AirBnB's, we went with Hotel Blue, suite 601, in September 2022. It was slightly more expensive than a normal suite, but really worth the extra.

The lobby was small and simple, which initially gave the impression, that we would be staying at more of a motel, than hotel.. This proved to be false.. The great thing about this hotel is pricing to include the restaurant was geared toward Mexican's either on a work trip or family vacation.

The suite was super clean, quite beautiful and large. It was on the same level as the pool & restaurant. It had everything you would you would expect in a upscale resort, drink fridge, coffee make and safe.

The bathroom was large and the shower (that opened) had views of the city and ocean, favorite shower anywhere I have been. I read some reviews that complained about pressure or hot water, we had no such complaints.

The main window and/or curtains in the suite did over the pool, so we had them closed when dressing or sleeping. (Only drawback to 6th floor.)

Before I forget, the suite had one bathroom, but right outside the room was an additional "upscale" bathroom for times when needed.

Being on the 6th floor was such a blessing, with the restaurant right next door, coffee in the morning was just steps away, no need to fire up the coffee pot for the pre-packaged coffee.. Another plus, is anything ordered at the restaurant will be brought to your room. Let's get down to it..

Location: Excellent, with restaurants and the boardwalk all within walking distance. Found the area to be very safe surrounding the hotel.

Parking: Great.. Have covered and non-covered parking on the property or you can park the street in front of the hotel.

Service: Excellent, from the from check-in to the restaurant, they will let you know why Hotel Blue is special.

The rooms and/or suite: Excellent, 5 star.

The pool and pool area: Small with great views and areas to relax, was only busy on Friday and Saturday, after that we had the pool to ourselves. You can bring your own drinks or have drinks brought to you, pricing was very cheap.

The restaurant: The hotel provides breakfast, some buffet style, but they will cook you a special or custom breakfast at no charge. We had both lunch and dinner here, really good food w/great views, best of all they have great prices.

This will now be my to go place when diving in La Paz and I will gladly answer any questions...

Perfecto! The HBlue Hotel is much loved and highly recommend for an exquisite time. The location is close to town-near local and fancy restaurants, tourist activities like The Museo De La Ballenas y Ciencias, and the beach.

Free WiFi, hot water, sterile bathrooms, and nice firm beds with clean blankets are always something to look for when finding a hotel in Baja, which is a given here.

The staff is welcoming, friendly, and go above and beyond standards. No matter what department-at front desk, in the restaurant, the cleaning and maintenance department, all the staff is joyful and pleasant which makes the stay so welcoming and wanting to return.

The attention to detail in the rooms with the good hand soap and lotion, water, extra strong and quality coffee, work space, and plenty of storage create the perfect place for residing.

The best part of this stay is watching the sunset on the rooftop by the (clean) pool (with showers), restaurant/bar, and shaded seating sections. The morning welcomes you with a complementary breakfast including a high quality, full course meal, and attentive staff to meet all your wishes and more. Stop the search and come enjoy for yourself!...

We stayed for 28 days in January and February, the experience was very good. The hotel staff were excellent and very helpful. Our room was very nice only downside was that there was no nice view from the windows. The room was clean and spacious, housekeeping did a good job throughout our stay. Dining room staff were very pleasant and always helpful. Unfortunately I became ill suddenly and had to seek medical help, Rueben the manager went out of his way to contact a doctor and took me to the doctors office at 8.30 at night, he then waited and took me back to the hotel. Then the maintenance man Jose took me to the Pharmacy for prescribed medication. I could not have thanked them any more for their quick response to my issue.|The hotel is a short walk from the Malecon and at least 40 restaurants. The roof top restaurants was nice and the food was good, the breakfasts were okay. Nice view of the city from the roof area, nice place to relax with a drink and good book.|The biggest downside was the constant barking for the dogs in neighboring properties, they always started barking at night time, some nights worse than others.|Once again thanks to all the staff that helped us...

Fantastic find! The price of this hotel is what originally caught our eye but we got so much for what we paid. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the beds are extremely comfortable. (I think they are doubles...not huge) The central stairs made them fun to use instead of the elevator. The most stunning part of this hotel is the rooftop balcony and pool. The view is beautiful especially at sunset. The free breakfast was on this balcony as well- what a perfect way to wake up! One morning there was the most incredible pineapple juice we’d ever had. They also offer meals and drinks in the evening for purchase. I did notice that had our children been younger, there are some unsafe areas on the top floors where a young toddler could actually fall and die if parents were not paying attention. Something to note if planning to stay here with young kids, maybe book a room on the bottom floor or be extra watchful:) Very pleased with this hotel, will recommend to friends. A 10 minute walk to Malecón and all the downtown. Many places to eat close by as well.

We paid $ 75 US for the night and it was well worth it. It’s a cute smaller size hotel completely updated with a beautiful modern style feel. We received 2 free drink vouchers and a hot breakfast from restaurant on the roof. Rooms were beautifully clean and updated. Parking is free but limited in space and it’s best suited to smaller vehicles however you can park on the street w/o any concern. Only complaint is they will only give you 1 key card and if you want another they charge 50 pesos. Keep in mind a hotel like this would typically normally cost 2 or 3 times as much if not even more if it was in the states or in another more popular tourist destination so at this price it’s a real steal when you take that into consideration!! I would highly recommend this hotel if you want the hint of luxury but without the cost of it.
