ESTANCIA LA OCHO — Hotel in Baja California

THIS PLACE HAS ROACHES--LOTS OF THEM.

Rented a room here for a week and had to move out the next morning due to cockroach infestation. The staff wasn't very helpful in anyway.

The only option they gave us was to spray the room with pesticide. We were told the pesticide was nontoxic to humans yet were asked to leave the room for 3 hours as the employee sprayed wearing full PPE. The stench was unacceptable even after the 3 hours.

I didn't want to risk any pests hitching a ride in our luggage so we had no choice but to find another place to stay.

We were told they were not going to refund any of the days already paid for, but that they would refund the deposit even though we had only been there less than 24 hours. I wasn't going to argue with the onsite staff considering customer service is not a thing in Mexico unless you're spending big $$.

I took it up with my bank and they handled the refund once I got home....

Worst stay ever. 10 x 10 room nice inside but it felt literally 20 degrees hotter inside then outdoors. Made a joke for the suggestion box. A little bar..... SO HOT....the owner disdainfully looked at me and turned around. Like I don't care how you feel.NO FANS on ceiling like other motels. I couldn't sleep 3 nights until I bought a fan. I found out she can't keep emloyees that are overworked and underpayed....

Affordable, but I never got into a room. The place seems legit, but the service is terrible. No one answered the phone, even though I had a reservation. In short: I had a booking, couldn’t stay there because nobody picked up my calls, and no one...
