La Villa de Zaragoza — Hotel in Baja California

Nice hotel--an one of the few in Tijuana that have both heat y air conditioning. Both work adequately--although not up to US Standards in every room. Restarant serves good food y has room service until 9-10 at night. Beds are large--but tv selection is not very good. Internet connection in rooms a constant problem when in your room. But almost always able to connect when in Office y restarant. A 24 hour 7-11 is just across the street if you get midnight hungries. Last stay room--for 1---cost about $43 dollars--800 pesos. There are many cheaper hotels from 280 - to 450 pesos (15-23 dlrs) if you are looking for more value. Stayed here for one night, super cheap payed about $40 with taxes and all, it was about a $5 taxi ride from the border. Loved the location, less then a 5 minute walk to the revolución where all of the night clubs, bars and restaurants are located that was mainly why I chose this place. The room was decent, had a huge bathroom, didn't eat in their restaurant. The guy at the main office was super nice and spoke English, they had security guards standing outside all night which makes you feel safe. I would most definitely stay here again if I go back, I went to Las pulgas which is one of the best nightclubs there, literally the next street over so no need to take a taxi or anything like that, there is also a 7/11...

The staff I met were kind, friendly & honest. No hot water in my room except for the shower. Its quiet. Much of the small cable package they offer had poor quality reception. Their English was much better than my Spanish, but you're limited to keeping things very simple. My main disappointment came as I was checking out after an extended stay I was approached by the owner, who was something of a hothead. He complained about the condition of the room. I may not be perfect, but I've stayed in dozens of motels & hotels & was never subjected to such a hostile rant. He hit me up for $100, & being an American with a cab waiting I didn't want to get into it & went along with this...
