I had a reservation here for the last week of October (3 weeks after their grand opening). I saw online something about them delaying the opening. A few days after that Hyatt called to let us know that they had to cancel our reservation and offered to move our booking to another one of their resorts. We told them we already canceled it ourselves and rebooked at another secrets resort. Here’s my problems: why did we learn of the delayed opening from the internet before I heard from the company? And why was there no compensation for the inconvenience? I wasn’t expecting anything outrageous, maybe just a $100 resort credit especially since I rebooked with another one of their resorts. I could have rebooked anywhere in the Cancun area. Hyatt should have reached out to already booked customers sooner (send emails out too, if you miss their call it’s hell trying to get to someone who knows what’s going on and you’re on hold for a long time) and they should be offering some incentive for rebooking at another one of...

Got a call from the resort today that they wouldn't be open by our date and they are pushing the opening date - for the fourth time. They are only offering 3 free nights in compensation; rebookings with other properties are at full price, and with only 2 days' notice, extremely expensive (3-4x the original price I paid for the Mirabel).
