Cancún Sign — Attraction in Cancún

Iconic! I recommend waiting for sunrise or sunset, we were there closer to noon and the sun was so strong the sky looked so flat in the picture. The beach is gorgeous, absolutely stunning. Everyone talks about lines and everything but the key is to beat the tour buses. If you're lucky, you can be on the tail end of one, offer to snap some pics and they'll return the favor. The Cancun sign is so beautiful and the water behind it is breathtaking. We went there and there was a 2 minute wait because everybody wants to take a picture so there was a line but we got done pretty soon and the area is nice. Lots of cars lots of people on foot. Nice area with adequate space to take good photos. Lots of parking nearby. Good access to the beach, steps or slopes. Clean toilets, including disabled. We went quite early, before 8am, as when we passed by later in the day there was always a huge queue and people had mentioned they’d waited almost an hour (and still weren’t at the front).
