I am only giving it 1 star based on my experience.
However the space and food is decent, please visit.
I did the 8 course tasting menu, spoke through my dietary preferences, and was told they could be met.
Sadly, they weren’t.
Most of the dishes were good, one was particularly great.
And a few were overcooked, like the fish.
I feel the dishes can be simplified, flavors are lost, and they could benefit from the less is more POV.
What truly made my experience not a good one, is that I don’t drink alcohol, I said this, ordered an NA beer and event sent back a dish with Mezcal.
Sadly they brought me a dessert with alcohol, I have not had alcohol in two years. And it’s something that I never wanted to taste again.
When I asked the server, she replied said yes. We thought you would not be able to taste it because it’s in the Merengue.
To the restaurant, you never know why people have restrictions. Mostly with alcohol.
You should never ever do this to anyone again!
The service was not up to par with the prices , server had very little knowledge on the food.

There raw crab salad had a lovely heat. I would call it ceviche, but it lacked some kind of salt or acid, and the crab itself was bland not sweet.
I also had octopus, which was disappointing. It was cooked well, good texture, but it was covered in a grainy, black sauce. The graininess was off-putting. It was served with sweet potato purée and cabbage. The cabbage was excellent with a zesty, almost citric flavor. The sweet potato purée was thin and sweet-sweet. I tried each part of the dish separately and together, and just couldn’t enjoy it. I ate most of the cabbage, but left the rest.
I did come in their last half hour of kitchen service, but at this price and that they weren’t busy, they could have sent me away - I did ask, or they could have directed me to dishes they were more...
Read moreI was really excited to try this place, but unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. The staff seemed indifferent, which was a bit of a turn-off. The restaurant has potential, but some of the dishes need improvement. We ordered the Pellizcada de Chicharrón, and while it was okay, the chicharrón was a bit chewy and dry—it really needed more acidity to balance out the fat. The Pellizcada de Pulpo was also just okay, nothing special. However, the standout dish was the eggplant tamal, which really saved the experience. With some tweaks to the dishes and better service, this place...
