Cuale Condos — Hotel in Jalisco

😊: I have been staying at Cuale for many years now, this is my favorite place to stay in Puerto Vallarta. Great location in a safe area, close to many markets, taco stands, restaurants and Cuale island with an easy 10 minute walk to the beach.

Secure and safe - entry doors are always locked at all times of the day and night requiring an access card for entry. Each room has a security monitoring panel near the door with camera access to the lobby and pool. A large programmable safe is located within the room that will fit a smaller laptop (Lenovo ThinkPad style for reference)

Comfortable beds, clean linens extra blankets and pillows provided. Amazing friendly staff on site, Lucy will always ensure you're taken care of and has been an absolute pleasure for many years.
Fresh coffee, pastries and fruit provided on the rooftop common area each morning (except Sunday) Ample kitchen amenities for doing your own cooking with a full sized fridge with freezer, microwave, blender and coffee press.

The water for drinking, showering and washing is all purified and safe to consume without having to purchase bottles or worry about. This is a major advantage over the majority of places in Mexico.

Strong wi-fi - no issues connecting and maintaining a VPN connection for working.

The owner and staff feel more like family every time I visit, they are all incredible and treat everyone amazing.. 😢: Having to leave is always disappointing. Because of how amazing this hidden gem is, it has become more difficult to book due to increased popularity.

For some, the sounds of Mexico may be unfamiliar to those traveling from other "quiet" countries. There are disposable ear plugs provided for sleeping in the rooms and even though Cuale is located blocks away from the night clubs and busy party scene of the Malecon and Romantic Zone, there are the normal sounds of Mexico like roosters, dogs, bells on the garbage trucks, cars with loud sterios, children playing later than what some may be accustom to, which may be deemed disruptive to some. The rooms are not sound proof to the outside world and I wouldn't expect them to be. (Personally this is no issue for me, I love and respect the culture and enjoy and embrace the difference from "quiet" Canada). However some may find this disruptive if not aware or accustomed to the...

We were privileged to spend time at Cuale days before “shelter-in-place” was mandated in California. Walking into the lobby we were greeted by our host, Jacob. The lobby was beautiful with murals painted on the walls by a local artist. Our host showed us a sink and rinse-off shower available for guests just off the lobby…for those coming in from the beach and for extra cleanliness recommended due to the Corona Virus. We were shown the roof-top amenities including a pool and hot tub together with a commercial kitchen and comfortable seating areas. We were able to sit up at night and watch a movie projected on a wall while laying back enjoying an evening meal. Our unit was perfect including a full kitchen and comfortable seating in the living area. The design details and layout throughout these boutique condos were exceptional and we felt immediately at home with our gracious hosts. We especially loved the location in the heart of where people lived…NOT an area crowded with tourists; yet we were only 4 blocks from the popular streets and restaurants. We woke up to the sound of roosters crowing and a few occasional dogs barking…truly the pulse of the morning. Noted, is the security system which allows only registered guests to enter the building. We have since come back 3 times; once with our "movie club" friends from CA just post COVID. Our host, Jacob arranged for a catered meal rooftop for us along with our movie viewing. Everyone loved the venue and our hosts...a few have come back on their own. Cuale is definitely our home...

Nestled within a vibrant neighborhood, Cuale is merely steps away from wonderful local restaurants and just a short stroll to not only the beaches but from the wonderful commercial shops, restaurants and hotels that give PV so much charm and character. As we experienced during our stay, there were a few days that we simply didn't want to leave Cuale so we stayed poolside and enjoyed all the sophisticated ambience that Cuale has to offer.

For those of us who are frequent business travelers, there are many subtle design features within Cuale that may be missed by most...from the quiet door closings to the elegantly (and thoughtfully) designed bathroom fixtures to very comfortable mattresses/pillows to the whisper quiet AC units. Clearly, much thought went into the details.

We brought a larger group of several families that contained teenagers and everyone loved it, even the teens. I would consider Cuale to be family friendly if your family consists of older kids (teens and up).

While the friendly staff and comfy rooms are certainly top-notch, you will find yourself rooftop on most nights enjoying the view or the pool/hot tub or watching a movie or lounging in a hammock or sipping a cocktail....or maybe ALL the above!

So much to love about Cuale Condos! We...
