What a jewel in Colonia Roma. After many visits to CDMX this was my first visit to Sagrada Familia. The first church to be built in Roma, it was completed in 1925 after an interruption of several years due to the Revolution. Breathtaking in its beauty, I specially loved the Gothic construction and the stained glass windows. As part of a Church pilgrimage tour, we had the privilege of having our priest celebrate mass during our weekday visit. Museo Padre Pro is next to the church and it displays the life and sacrifice of this Jesuit martyr who was executed during times of religious...

Truly beautiful and filled with peace. The building is deceptively large which is not apparent from the outside. Many beautiful and unique murals fill the church. On the stage-right side of the altar, the relics of Blessed Miguel Pro are contained in a silver ossuary. Attached to the church is a small museum and gift shop dedicated to the life of Blessed Miguel Pro who was publicly executed for ministering to those in need when the anti-Catholic Calles government was in power. Included in the museum are the clothes Fr. Pro was wearing when he...

In the heart of Colonia Roma, the best and most eclectic neighborhood in Mexico City. La Iglesia de la Sagrada familia, a historical mark you should visit to enjoy the wonderful architecture inside and out. Next door is the Museum of Padre Pro and a couple of steps further down was the best place to eat a traditional candy made back in the Mexican Revolution days "La Celaya". Now the only location is close to El Zócalo at 5 de Mayo...

Possibly my favorite Catholic Church in North America - definitely in Mexico. The relics of Blessed Miguel Pro are housed here. And, there’s a museum/shrine to Blessed Miguel Pro- who has literally changed my life. Pro-tip - the museum is open daily from 10 am - 1 pm. The church is breathtaking. Allow the power of the Holy Spirit to guide you. And, the staff are super friendly. Blessed Miguel Pro - pray for us.
