Check the photos...this place has expired. The reviews reflect an old hostel profile. This place is now a transit centre for migrants primarily from Cuba, Venezuela and China intending on crossing the U.S border illegally. It's bar and vending machines are abandoned and most light fittings are empty of bulbs. It is dark and filled with families packed into cramp rooms. Literally a boarding house now. The reviews do not reflect this "new place". Staff were fine as was cleanliness, but this place is not safe. I met a man in my room who had his wallet stolen...not surprising as 90% of guests are illegal migrants... Do not stay here.

I had no issue staying here with family, we were a group of five and the room had three beds which was perfect for us! Theres no private bathrooms just rooms, down the hallway theres bathrooms and shower stalls. There was hot water for the shower just turn both knobs. The only bad thing is no one is there to help with luggages because theres only stairs no elavator and our luggages were heavy 😅 other than that it was a nice stay and cheap!

The hostel staff's positivity and upbeat attitude made my 8 days here a glory. I was planning on changing if it wasnt good but I didnt have any issue and stayed for the full booking.. ||||You would think hostels would be so busy and packed. I believe most of the travelers are turned away from hostels because certain areas dont attract foreigners due to negative reviews and google reviews of the areas or establishments. There is literally police on every corner I never felt in danger at all in my 8 days. . ||||The Media has portrayed Centro Historio district as a war zone. It is not even close to that. Use common sense and stay inside after 10pm but I went out a couple nights 3 blocks down to Maduro street for clubs. Lots of people out and about. The day time is so packed. It felt more dangerous when I was in New York in Harlem. ||||The beds were clean and fine. Typical hostel bed. There wasnt to many guests which was perfect for me. I wanted to be social but at the same time save money and get a good nights sleep.||||They had a pool table on the middle floor. That was my place to hangout. The beers are $0.80usd per beer in the hostel so i mean leaving the hostel to pick up is not needed (they dont allow outside alcohol) unless they run out.||||The breakfast is clean and basic. There was eggs and quesidillas sometimes. ||||This hostel is actually a huge tour company. All the tours are priced very well . Very cheap. so you get to the hostel and the Amigo Tour bus Charter picks you up right there every morning. Convenient. if you stay at other hostels. they dont have tour companies in house This is one of the major companies in Mexico city for tours. ||||The wifi was good in the common areas. Room dependent the connection is weak. (my room was a bit weak) It was at the end of the hall.. ||||Thanks to Ricardo front desk for the tips and tricks around town. Thanks to Marco for taking us out one night to a restaurant and to show us the club area. Thanks to Janet for letting us bring Hard Alcohol in and have a bar party in the downstairs lobby. It was epic on my last night. Thanks to the amigo tours boys Armando and ivan for pooling it up.||||The hostel is 10 minutes walk away from the subway. I took the subway from the airport. It can be a bit crowded. If you are a dude i dont see you having a issue . use common sense. Wear your backpack on front of on ground. Keep alert . If you are a woman . I would suggest to just take uber or taxi . In my 8 days there I realized that the subway was 80-90% men on average. There might be reasons for that I dont know. ||||If you want to eat cheap and live on a budget . stay in this area. I was eating and drinking for $1 usd each item. tacos hamburgers burritos quesadillas enchilladas. everything . A good western burger cost me 6 dollars. usd. . This hostel is 10 minute walk from one of the main cathedral. double decker tour buses and major squares. Its right in downtown where the action is. 15 min walk from the biggest street market shopping area Languilla but dont walk too far into TEPITO(Dangerous area) . ||||Thanks to all the friends I made on this trip to make it memorable. Neto Federico Costa rican girl isabel The spain boys. Colombian dude, Heber Max IVAN ARMANDO scottish lad. Until next time. This wont be my last Mexico City! ||||The most colorful city i have seen in my life. Cheers all....

I booked this hotel in Expedia, but had to cancel the booking due to COVID. They charged me an 85% fee, even though I cancelled it 5 days prior to the what they called "Free cancellation until..." date.

Be careful of their trap because they make you think the date that "Free cancellation until " is for a full refund, but it is not. When you book, you lose 85% if you cancel it right after that. When you look at the website, it shows a different policy for the cancellation date (full refund). However, after you book, the confirmation email will show you their real game!

I loved the idea of staying in their hotel and using their tours. However, after I found out that I got caught in a cheat of "Free cancellation... " (whatever date, they only refund max 15%), I won't ever use any kind of their service (accommodation, tour, transport, etc.) to avoid another swindling. Untrustworthy agent.

I've stayed in many hotels and this is the first time I found there is a new game of cheating from this hotel. The 1st photo is what you see on their website, the 1nd is what you get in the...
