Me and some colleagues stayed for a few days in this hotel. ||I believe that for more than 30 years traveling I have never seen such poorly trained front desk service. The feeling is that the presence of the guests there is bothering the front desk staff. All my co-workers had some negative experience with them. One had a problem in the room and they told him that he could not change even though there were empty rooms because the room was billed on the computer in his name. ... another was asked three times in a row if he was even staying at the hotel since he was having coffee from the machine.||Another asked to arrive 30 minutes before check in time and was told that it would be absolutely impossible. ||You will arrive full of suitcases after a flight of 15 hours and they will not open the door of the hotel, they will not help with the luggage and will not answer your "good afternoon".||The location is spectacular.||The hotel does not offer breakfast and the rooms do not have a minibar. We ate breakfast a few days in the surrounding restaurants and once in the 7-Eleven that is close by.||There is a room with a treadmill and an exercise bike. I jogged in the Chapultepec Park, very nice. Walking distance form the hotel. Awsome!||Wi fi and TV worked right.||Our rooms were small but clean, in good condition. For one person answered perfectly.||There are rooms facing the interior, no view and others facing the street, which, in my case, seemed more pleasant.||In the surroundings you can rent bicycles and explore the area, which has, in addition to bars and restaurants, Chapultepec Park and the...
Read moreFrom the outside, the hotel looked old and not elegant at all, but the room where I stayed was actually nice and quite spacey. One double-bed, and one single bed. Bathroom is clean, but the towels were not so bright white. There were two large single seats couch in the room; and since I am travelling for work, the number of power point that they had in the room was quite generous (as compare to any other hotels that I had stayed, it had the most).||The breakfast? Well, they only serve doughnuts, or plain croissant (from large supermarket), plus coffee or orange juice. Very simple. But, it's in Polanco, surrounded by cafes serving breakfast.||The reception staff? They were not as approachable as those in other hotels that I had visited. But truthfully, I think it was because of the language barrier (I don't speak Spanish). I found that they were quite okay, at least when I said "good morning" they responded quite well; and I saw that they were very chatty with guests who spoke Spanish.||One thing to note though. I do not think that this hotel provide sufficient facility for those with...
Read moreIn my experience, my stay was phenomenal. I was recommended this location by a local chilanga and I was very satisfied with everything from the get-go until the last day.
Reservations were easy to make and the room is comfortable, clean, and well-stocked. The air conditioner was a relief knowing it was there and I greatly appreciated the water bottles they would replenish daily. I did find the configuration a bit strange in that it is one matrimonial (full?) and one twin bed but everything worked out fine. It's best merit is the EXCELLENT location and proximity to everything trendy. The neighborhood is safe and completely walkable - with lots of options nearby. One particular mention goes to the gentleman at the front desk present nearly everyday, Hugo, who was a very pleasant and helpful guy.
I highly recommend this hotel to any traveller going to Mexico City, especially for...
