We went to Morelia for a romantic weekend. This was a hotel that had a great location and in the middle of the heart of Morelia perfect for site seeing. Checkin was a breeze although it was all via phone so someone traveling without service could be complicated. We arrived early and the staff was very helpful in keeping our luggage safe while we went for breakfast and site seeing. We were given a room on the third floor very conviniéndole for breakfast at the rooftop cafe the next day. The o lay drawback for the room was that it was a little dark and once in the room you could not tell the time of day and the rooms were a little small. While we used it just for sleeping the accommodations were a little small. One more thing to note the room did not have a phone and they did not leave a shampoo for us so to get a shampoo I had to use WhatsApp to communicate with the front desk to get a shampoo again an issue for some who may not...
Read moreI have to admit this hotel is right on the heart of the main city, but was very disappointed after finding out they have no cameras what so ever on the Second and 3rd floor!! My wife got her wallet stolen literally from outside of our room!! There was a small couch where she had placed her bag and some items that we had purchase to open the door. Since the room needs room card to be placed In the electrical deck in order for you to have light she went inside and when she came out her wallet was missing! (May I mention she had the room key on a side pocket of the wallet! ! When she notified me I talked to Miguel at the front desk and all he said was “SORRY WE HAVE NO CAMERAS ON THE 2nd And 3rd FLOOR “ there is nothing I can do!! At that point my vacation was ruined she had her Id’s and banks cards and a good amount of money In there, and was pretty upset the hotel didn’t even bother tried to help!! Please be safe when booking...
Read moreLocation. Very good in Centro Historico BUT on the corner of a main street. VERY noisy. There is no A/C so the balcony door was open for air. Pedestrian noise and traffic noise went on till about midnight and began again at 4.30 am. Police and ambulance sirens went on all night. Staff. The bellmen were very nice and the maids polite. The 2 women on the desk that I encountered were surley and not welcoming. The Room. Clean and ok but run down (see pictures). There were no glasses or paper cups in the bathroom and none available when I asked for them. When I went into the bathroom on the second morning there were no towels or bath mat and no phone in the room to call for them. I had to dress and go down to reception to ask for them. No apology was offered by the woman on the desk. And the towels, see the pictures, they were very ratty. Also look at the pic of the balcony door. I would not stay in this...
