La Tarasca — Restaurant in Michoacán

This place was a no go for me! I was craving mole, so I decided to head to this place and give their mole a try. Upon arrival we were sat at a table next to the walk way so we decided to move tables and the waitress’ automatically gave us an attitude. (It wasn’t too busy so I figured it was not a problem) After a waitress took our order the waiter came out with our drinks. I was handed a mixed berry lemonade when I asked for a regular lemonade. I informed the waiter and he switched it out for a lemonade he had on his serving plate. The waiter informed the waitress and she was quick told him I was wrong and that’s what I ordered. He immediately removed my drink and left me with the one I was first placed with. The waitress was trying to argue about me being wrong and to avoid further discussion I told her it was fine to just leave the drink. The waitress unhappy with the prior incident would not even walk by our table to ask if we needed anything. Now I am only speaking on behalf of the mole plate: The chicken was very dry and the “tortillas” tasted and felt like cardboard. Cada que vengo a Morelia por trabajo o diversión trato de venir a este restaurante.

Se encuentra justo en el centro de la ciudad, en la zona de los portales. Cuenta con mesas dentro y fuera del establecimiento, tienes como vista el jardín principal y la hermosa Catedral, así como su bella arquitectura que le dio a esta ciudad la categoría de patrimonio de la humanidad.

La carta o menú incluye carnes rojas, blancas como pollo y pecado; ensaladas, malteadas, molcajetes, chamorros, etc. Todo esta delicioso, y los platos son bastos, el costo es accesible promedio, puedes pasar un grato momento. El servicio es bueno. No tiene música ambiental.

Me gusta que facturan al momento y sin errores, ampliamente recomendado para personas que requieren este servicio por trabajo. Aceptan tarjetas.

Puedea después recorrer el centro. Cualquier taxi te lleva y si vas en auto hay muchos estacionamientos cercanos a menos de una cuadra. El lugar no tiene este servicio. Si vas en taxi te dejen en la puerta siempre y cuando el centro no este tomado por paristas (que tristemente ensucian la ciudad, la vista, la arquitectura y dan mala imagen a la ciudad y au atractivo turístico que es el centro).

Ofrece los 3 alimentos. Todo con la misma calidad y buena presentación.

Solo no me gusta que no es cosa de ellos, que hay mucha personas desafortunadamente en la calle pidiendo ayuda económica, vendedores de todo tipo, etc. Lamentablemente abunda mucho en el centro de la ciudad este tipo de personas. Reflejo de lo que estamos viviendo, triste y lamentablemente.

La gente de servicio de forma respetuosa les pide que no se acerquen, algunos hacen caso otros no, y quien tiene miedo aún por el covid es preferible pedir mesa adentro, aunque son pocos los espacios. Y la gente literal se te pega casi a tus alimentos. Ea área publica no privada consecionada y no pueden prohibir el paso.

Cuenta con sanitarios. Lo recomiendo 100% cuando vengas a esta hermosa ciudad mexicana.

We visited this weekend on vacation. All I can say is that this restaurant takes full advantage of its location to sell mediocre food at a an exceptional price. We ordered New York steak and ribeye along with a few cocktails. The steaks were not well prepared and bland, the cocktails bathed in syrups. Service is non existent once you are seated because they turn their focus to getting more passerbys to sit down and eat. I highly recommend anyone visiting to look elsewhere and actually avoid any restaurant that has high foot traffic on the main streets.
