I rated this place as a 5 star because it is good value for what you pay! Yes it’s is small and on the old side but when you are paying less then $100 a night just off the beach and 2 blocks to 5th avenue it is good value. The host meet us at the gate and showed us to our rooms promptly and on time. The bed was comfortable but the futon was on the hard side. The kitchen is very limited with 2 burners, a bar fridge, a few pots and pans, plates, cups and cutlery. There was a microwave, coffee pot, and toaster. We had nice hot showers and our toilet flushed well and they provided toilet paper. They do not have all the other amenities , you need to bring shampoo, conditioner, dish soap and hand soap. The pool Is on the small side but nice for the kids and just to cool off. The beach is a block away but the sand is eroded away and only rocks show now, you can walk about 2-3 blocks down and it is good. Even though this is close to the party street it is quite quiet there and very peaceful. The hosts were very good at everything we ask for, even when there was a storm and the power went out, they got the generators up and running quickly. I always say you get what you pay for and...
Read moreThis little condo/apt has what you need and is local to beach and 5th street. Kitchen and my condo had one king bed and futon, but not much space to put away clothes. Not fancy but tropical and pool access is right outside your door. When you arrive there is a iron gate, then a little wood desk and an attendant who opens a draw, gives you a little key to your sliding glass window and says that's it, your checked in, NOOO paperwork, not hassel. When you leave, just leave the key in room and wave goodbye, zero paperwork, rustic and nice. Nice pool and quite. Beach access is 3 minute walk with a few restaurants you can eat right on the beach and down town 5th street is in close walking distance. Remember to check the beach report as there was a ton of seaweed so not too much swimming, so we had to go to Cozumel or Xcaret park to see clear water but it was worth it. We were travelling with myself, Dyanna, my daughter, her 11 month old baby and 6 year old daughter. Felt safe and had a blast. Booked hotel on Expedia and...

Plenty of good restaurants nearby; a good burger stand right bt the gate.|Very quiet, safe and secure gated property. Attendant is there all night to greet and open the gate if you arrive late.|Free parking on the street, if you can find a spot.|Apartment was older but kept in great condition and clean. Comfortable king bed. Kitchen with everything needed, full size fridge. Bathroom is small but sufficient for 2 people. Beach towels provided upon request. Private rooftop terrace is pretty but we used lower patio. |We used Latido de Mexico, they are an excellent local company we usually use to book condos and never disappoint. They respond quickly and provide great service - if you need something extra, it is at your condo...
