Used to love this place when i first came to it. Good food, reasonably priced, and with healthy choices, too. No long wait & the service was friendly & nice, for lack of a better word, but this time, the server was lethargic. One would think they would be on top of their customers, but sadly not every time apparently. 5 prospective customers couldnt wait that long and just left. One customer offered her table because she was done and was just waiting to pay. We were waiting for our bill, all done a while ago and seeing other people wanting to eat, too. I dont mean to be whiney, but they dont have to shoo away or hurry people up (some are on vacation, so they just want to chill), but when they are done, they shouldnt have to wait to find the servers to pay for their bill😖. It is a small place, with less than 10 tables. If everyone eating there dont have consciences intact, they can just walk out and not pay, but we are all civilized law-abiding people, so we just wait🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️. Just saying, hoping management/owner, will be more mindful. We all cant wait forever. You are losing customers, Carlota. Dont need to shoo away people, but when they are done, just keep an eye and walk over - either they want to pay already or they want to order more. Kinda lose appetite for more when you’ve to wait forever to order again, so ill just go somewhere else. This was...
Read moreAvoid!!! AWFUL SERVICE!!! AWFUL FOOD. There are so many other great breakfast spots with way better food and more importantly, servers who will treat you with respect. It took 10 minutes to be acknowledged to get a seat. We had to go get our own menus and then wave her down to order. She said ok but walked away for another 5 minutes. We ordered our food, both asking for no cheese/dairy. She confirmed. She brought out a bowl of something we didn't order. We said it might be for another table, she stormed off. She then brought our meals out. My avo toast was covered in dairy/cream. My husband's salad was covered in cheese. She accused me of not explaining correctly. She said she would remake it but we'd have to pay for two. What?! What restaurant treats their customers like this? I tried translating on my phone and she claimed to speak English but kept shouting at me in Spanish. She never apologized or acknowledged my husband's salad also being wrong. We ended up having to pay for the avo toast even though they took it back and I left hungry. My husband's meal was gross. We used to love this restaurant but the food has gone down hill and the service is obviously trash. I won't ever go back and recommend Fresco Habito down the street.
Edit: their reply is so comical. It's clear they don't care about allergies or customers. Playa has amazing restaurants....
Read moreWent to this place twice, first time we had a dirty horchata to go and it was AMAZING, but the kitchen was closed so we couldn't get the food we wanted. It looked amazing so we went back the next day. We got a dirty horchata again and it was way more ice but the same amount of coffee as before, so the horchata flavor was much less noticeable, more like a coffee with milk. Then we got an omelette and a croissant breakfast sandwich. The croissant came out cold and the waiter apologized as they delivered it to the table, so I'm maybe they knew it was cold? Would've been nice if they'd warmed it back up. The fruit that came with it was the least good fruit we've had in Mexico. It was either previously frozen or cut the previous day or just a mix of overripe/underripe... but not great either way. The omelette came out much later, after when I was finished with my meal, and it came cold as well. They also forgot "no onions" as part of her order. Then another croissant came out for me, which meant I got someone else's and they got mine... Explains some of the timing issues. Overall, the restaurant's vibe and intentions are on point but they seemed too disorganized on this day to deliver the same dining experience others...
