Kanté Hotel - Downtown Tulum — Hotel in Quintana Roo

We cannot praise the Kante Hotel team enough for their kindness and hospitality.|We had arrived after a long bus journey from Chetumal and received a warm welcome from Omar who also suggested places to eat and how to arrange trips to the Cenotes and Archeological zone of Tulum. ||Unfortunately one of our family members was suffering from food poisoning from Chetumal and by the following morning was very poorly. Without hesitation, Omar kindly drove us to the local Doctor and then to the hospital as an IV drip was needed urgently. 4 to 5 hours later he then collected us - we cannot thank him enough. The world needs more Omar’s !!! |On our return to the hotel, his team were so caring and understanding and even made some suitable food for our daughter. ||The hotel itself is in a great location for amenities and the bus station. Everything that was great about Kanté Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff were welcoming and helpful. The gentleman at reception, in particular, was very accommodating and would give us great recommendations for places to eat and visit. The housekeeping team kept the room spotless, and it always smelled amazing. The room was consistently clean, and every detail was well taken care of. Overall, it was a great hotel experience with a good location.

However, on our last day, we encountered an unpleasant situation. A new staff member lady at reception, whom we hadn’t seen before, told us we couldn’t park in the spot we had been using throughout our stay and asked us to park somewhere else. We told her that we had been parking there for two days without any issues and with the approval of another receptionist. Despite this, she insisted we move and pointed us to another parking spot. Had such a lovely extended stay at Kante! This place is really a gem in the heart of Tulum, making it super convenient to get around, eat, drink, etc. The main ave is just 1 block away where you'll find EVERYTHING. The hotel itself is soo pretty- I loved the big beautiful tree in the courtyard- and the pool, where I spent quite a few mornings sipping coffee with my laptop- the perfect location to work! The rooms are very clean and comfortable and true to the Tulum vibe & style. The shower was amaaaazing and always hot (something that can be hard to find in Tulum). The staff at Kante provided excellent customer service from start to finish- Omar and Jan were SO friendly and helped me to feel right at home.
