I decided to try this spot based upon the reviews and we left disappointed.
We were not greeted right away, but when we were we were advised to sit anywhere. The tables were a bit uncomfortable - not made for tall people as our legs could not fit under the table, which made eating awkward.
No paper menu so you have to scan QR code but first needed to connect to the wifi to see the menu and even then it took awhile to load - I prefer menus and think every restaurant should have a few on hand for people that prefer or find menus more easily accessible (i.e. elderly, people with vision challenges).
Prices were great, food quality not so much. We ordered the shrimp and fries which were decent and the sampler platter. The fish taco tasted like dirt, so one bite in and we stopped. The quesadillas had red sauce in it which was strange, we are used to cheese and meat, no sauce in a quesadilla and it didn't taste good at all.
Also was concerning as I kept hearing someone coughing in the kitchen - he should not have been in the kitchen or at work around for with a cough. After all the great reviews, I was disappointed that that was not...
Read moreTulum is the worst place I’ve ever been to in my life. The 5 days that I was there made me feel like not existing anymore. However, ‘Crazy Fish Tacos’ was the sole exception. At Crazy Fish, I finally ate good food. EVERYTHING was good, but the diabla shrimp quesadilla and diabla octopus quesadilla… My God. I’ve never had anything like that. Like when you think of the best tacos and the above average tacos in the world, there’s not really that much of a grand difference if you think about it. But these two quesadillas, it’s obvious how amazing they are, like, they’re the best things I’ve tasted in Mexico hands down. I’ll never be able to have a quesadilla this good ever again because I’m never going back to Tulum, and that saddens me. This was better than any burrito or taco that I’ve ever had.
Everything in Tulum is garbage. Except for Crazy Fish Tacos. Of course, Heaven on Earth had to be surrounded by Hell. Seems like you have to go through Hell in order to reach Heaven....

Crazy Tacos is hands down the best taco restaurant I’ve ever visited! Their fish tacos are incredible—perfectly seasoned and incredibly fresh. I ordered 8 tacos along with a refreshing passion fruit juice, and everything was just fantastic.
The prices are super reasonable; 4 fish tacos for just 160 MXN (about 8 euros) is a steal. They also serve delicious nachos with four different types of sauce that perfectly complement the tacos. If you’re in Tulum, this place is a must-visit for an amazing...
