We stopped in to rest from the mid-day heat. We noticed the happy hour drinks at a reasonable price. Unlike other places though, there was no specific time of day and as well there were several choices and my wife and I could select different cocktails.
First off - the waiter brought us two rolled up white towels, which we soon realized were freezing cold to cool down our faces and neck. Other patrons had them opened on top of their heads. I really nice touch.
We decided to get something light to eat. I chose the flautas and my wife the quesadillas. They were honestly too much to eat. Delicious with ample serving of black beans and some of the best guacamole I’ve tasted.
We noticed the incredible looking dish being served to the couple beside us, and asked the name. It is Molcajete “Aztec” for 2 persons. The bowl was heaped with great looking meats, that my wife and I surely would not be able to finish. But it will be worth a try next...
Read moreMy absolute favorite food spot in Tulum. I was in Tulum for only a week and visited this place the most, sometimes twice a day . The staff is great and accommodating, and will bend to any special requests you make. They are also willing to give you insider local tips if you ask. As far as the menu goes there wasn't anything I ate that I didn't like but what stood out was the shrimp omelette because it was absolutely fire!!!! I never thought about seafood for breakfast but I had that omelette everyday. If you're only interested in drinks they have a pretty diverse drink menu. I definitely recommend Italian coffee. Don't forget to ask for Sangria! I spent about 600-700 pesos per meal, but I eat a lot. A normal person can get a decent meal and a drink for around...
Read moreMy family and I came here for dinner one night. My youngest is picky and wanted a burger with nothing on it. When the server brought the burger it has cheese and I made a comment. He immediately took the burger away and corrected it. My teen preferred rice instead of beans and guacamole. When his plate arrived he received the beans and guacamole. Shortly after our server came over with a plate of rice apologizing the mistake. Their customer service here is very accommodating and better than the US. I had the fish with butter and garlic. Delicious! My husband had al pastor which was also delicious. Highly recommend...
