I went on Cenote Dive Tour with Adventure Tour Center. It was simply amazing and definitely a highlight of my life, thanks to our amazing guide and Instructor Georgie. This was my very first Tulum/Mexico and my very first dive ever. During my stay I visited multiple dive shops (there is a lot), but this one stood out the most to me. My wife and I came across their shop in town and we met Victor at the shop who was very helpful and patient to explain to us all the the tours they do, all the details, and what they offer for beginners like myself. I requested a custom tour which combines the Discovery dive at Casa Cenote and Snorkelling at Dos Ojos. Victor was able to work it out with Julio the owner over the phone and tailor a suitable price for us. They were more than happy to even accommodate my need to pay half cash and half on my Visa card. The day of our dive we arrived at the shop and we were greeted by Victor, Julio (owner) and Georgie (instructor) who helped us get fitted into our gear (fins, masks, …). Transportation was included so Georgie took us to our first spot which was Cast Cenote for my very first dive ever (my wife tried this before, luck her!). Georgie is very experienced instructor she explained everything to us while we put on our wet suits (signs under water, how to put on the gear, what’s the purpose of every thing we are putting. I love details and this run down was amazing and fully detailed. First we went for our dive and got to learn how to put on our masks under water, breath under water, buoyancy, clean the masks (all the discovery basics). On our dive we saw Panchito (an alligator that lives in the denote) and Vincent (Panchito’s son I think). Apparently seeing those two is a rare occurrence but it takes an experienced guide like Georgie to spot them for you. It was an awesome way to kick off the first dive of my life by seeing fish, alligator, and dive in a cenote. Our second spot was Dos Ojos where we learned about cave diving and got me excited to get licensed next time and actually go for it. In Dos Ojos, Georgie took us to the bat cave! Again you can’t make it there unless you have an experienced guide like Georgie to make your way in there. We saw millions of bats in there (well too many to count). Later we were dropped off at the shop were Julio made sure that the whole experience lived up to our expectations. I highly recommend Adventure Tour Center for their level of professionalism and knowledge they bring to the table. Georgie was the icing on the cake as she brought a whole new level of passion an d dedication to what she does as dive instructor. Thank you Adventure Tour Center (Victor, Julio, Georgie) for such a memorable experience, my wife and I are super satisfied and know where is the best dive...
Read moreAbsolutely a wonderful experience and super worth it. My 3 friends and I had no trouble communicating and finding the center during our short trip in Tulum. We were lucky enough to have Summer as our guide and she was best!! We were all on our 20s and she was literally cooler than all of us combined (she’s traveled the world, speaks 5 languages, and an excellent swimmer). Zip-lining and Kayaking over the beautiful jungle waters and seeing the wildlife is something you need to just see for yourself. But by far the best experience is diving into the underwater Cenotes!!! Can’t stress how worth it the experience is. Initially, I was a little worried about diving into 9ft waters filling with fish and plants, but by the end I was zip lining and trying to do flips into the water. Everything is very safe and they provide you with as much or little equipment you need based on your skill. (Even little kids jump into these things)
At the very end of your day of fun, you share a meal prepared by Mayan locals who live in the area and share there meals with tourists. The food was superb and spiced so well that we all went back for seconds.
Summer is very knowledgeable about the city, the history, and just has a bright energy to her, giving us the confidence to be really adventurous. She even gave us great tips on things to do as well as places to eat in the...
Read moreI first saw this place because my back pack had just broke and I saw a nice drybag. So I asked the lady Janis in the shop if it really was a strong bag. She seemed very honest and told me how she had one and used it all the time abd it's very strong. She was right! Next because of her friendly and open attitude I decided these were the people to book a cenote with. So then I came back and met Jeff. Very helpful he was and I left a small deposite and booked myself in for The pit and dos ojos. So this morning I met Giulio my guide for the dives. Well I could not have had a nicer mind blowing dive and such a great dive master(instructer)The cenotes are truely incredible. The icing on the cake was during the second dive realizing I should just have left my camera in the car as it's just too amizing to distract yourself taking photos when the Internet photos are amazing.. so at the moment I hooked my camera to my bcd, obvs I didn't do a good job and lost it... after a few minuits back tracking, I signaled Giulio not to worry and decided to enjoy the dive and let the camera go.. and then another guide asks him what's up... he signals lost camera and the guide pulls out my camera from his pocket.... beautiful... such a great day.... this shop really...
