In 2019 we stayed at Casa Cordelli for two weeks and loved it so much we returned in 2020 for a one month visit during February. This was an awesome vacation experience and we hope to come back again next year. Since we were a bit familiar with SMA, it was easier for us to navigate and combine activities like theatre, music, tours and still have plenty of time to lay back and enjoy just being in this beautiful and comfortable villa. The view is spectacular and the pool is a real treat after walking around all day. We cooked a good number of meals in the full service kitchen and used the unique bar-b-que grill a few times. There is a supermarket a half mile or so up the road where we could buy all the groceries we would need, supplemented by the farmers market that we would go to on Saturdays and the special bread shop / bakeries that we would find on our walks. The accommodations are comfortable, great bed, full bathroom with colorful detailed mosaic tile surfaces, spacious living room / kitchen / dining room and there was a 5 gallon water cooler that was always re-filled when needed. Plenty of towels, robes, lounge chairs and a great patio deck. The landscaping is lush and really luxurious. And when you don't feel like cooking, there are a few amazing restaurants just minutes away, like Los Milagros and La Parada. As I am sitting in Chicago during the pandemic lockdown, I sure wish I was sitting by the pool at...
Read moreI stayed at Casa Cordelli in the Casa Tito for 8 nights. The house is delightful! Very spacious, lots of windows and light, STUNNING views from multiple rooms and terraces, very clean, kitchen is well equipped. Plenty of towels which were replenished on request. The house does not have regular cable TV but they have a Roku that gives you free Netflix, etc. Wi-fi was included and worked well with robust speed. The complex is behind a locked gate so very secure and safe. Liah and Alvaro were super responsive and helpful with everything from restaurant recommendations, massage therapist (who comes to the house and does a great job!), etc. The town of San Miguel is charming, friendly and very easy to get around. I loved hiking the steep hills from town back up to the house but if you prefer to ride, a taxi or Uber was never more than about $2. Ample restaurants which are inexpensive, many with great views. I ventured out to the hot springs outside of town which were great. I was very pleased with my stay and can't...
Read moreWe signed up for two weeks at Casa Cordelli on our first visit to SMA. We were not disappointed. My wife and I are in our 70's and like to travel in a laid back manner - no American Style hotels - and this fit the bill. We had a 3 room, 1 BR villa which was quite comfortable and we loved the kitchen. We mostly used the kitchen to cook breakfast, which was really great. the rooms were spacious with a nice bed and comfy furniture. The view is spectacular. The pool and hot tub were having solar heaters installed while we were there.... we really liked the hot tub and hope the new equipment get it hotter. I guess, if one is under 40 years old, the walk to Centro may actually be 10-15 minutes, but for old folks like us it took a lot longer (it was a great walk and really helped to find my bearings, but after a couple of times, we decided to take taxi's). That being said, we walked all over SMA every day..... cobble stone streets so wear good...
