We are Canadians in our late 50's who love to travel and explore different cities in Mexico. This was our first time to San Miguel.||We chose the Casa Grande without knowing much before booking it, other than the reviews/ratings, but let me tell you, from the moment we opened the door we knew we had found a true gem.||The owner, Michelle, greeted us upon arrival and made sure we were very happy with our room. The room, was stunning and well-appointed. Linen sheets, great art, cool bed, nice views from many windows and great storage||Then after that, she proceed to take us on the grand tour of her beautiful home and boutique hotel. (8 rooms).||My partner has a good eye for design. When Michelle asked her to see each of the rooms (as it was slow season) she was blown away. Each room, was completely unique, different from each other, romantic, spacious and in the most beautiful of settings. ||To top all of this, there is an enormous, beautifully appointed and decorated roof top garden and lounge area with fire tables, dining areas with light up stars, nice chaise lounges. ||Adjoining the terrace, is an open plan modern kitchen for your breakfast and perfect place for hanging out or small cooking classes. ||The entire area had near full length windows overlooking the heart of San Miguel and the entire valley. Sunsets to die for!||Michelle (owner) and her staff "totally rocked it" with service and information and all forms of help.||When we booked it we had a concern that to walk into Centro, was going to be hilly and difficult. This was our opinion from reading other reviews. It is not accurate.||For any mobile person this is an easy walk. Take your time, drink lots of water, shop all the way into the Church. If you're not a walker ask Michelle for Taxi contact. Price into town 80-100 pesos or $5-6 USD.||In closing, we cannot say enough about this place. It is exceeded our...
Read moreCasa Grande is beyond amazing and a 5-star plus property. I've stayed at several high-end hotels in San Miguel, but Casa Grande beats them all in service, location, breathtaking views from every corner and floor of the property and lush grounds. Each room is uniquely furnished with gorgeous lighting, comfortable bedding, and the kitchen has every gadget you can think of. The structure and furnishings of Casa Grande are of such high-quality and attention to detail you can tell it will last a lifetime. ||But the best thing about staying at Casa Grande that you won't get at any hotel in San Miguel is the owner, Michelle and her beautiful hard-working staff. Michelle is so beautiful inside and out and takes a special interest in all her guests. She is so inviting, makes sure you feel at home, and shares information about San Miguel so freely. Michelle is well-known around town, and so graciously introduced me to several local residents helping me expand my community base in SMA. This was very important to me because the purpose of my trip was to buy a property and eventually retire in SMA. ||I booked a month plus stay Casa Grande and couldn't have been happier. I had the opportunity to stay with friends for free, but after staying at Casa Grande I couldn't leave and extended my stay. ||Casa Grande is an experience I'll never forget and I 100% recommend you stay here when visiting San Miguel. You won't be disappointed. Te amo...
Read moreLoved everything about our experience at Casa Grande and our most gracious hostess, Michele. Communication before and during was quick and responsive. Every little question I had was answered promptly and completely. A very thorough welcome packet, complete with recommendation sent ahead of time, allowed us to plan our activities, restaurant choices and excursions. The location is perfect. On the edge of El Centro, but definitely still considered central. makes San Miguel‘s highlights easily accessible by foot, but far enough away to feel private, quiet, safe and exclusive. CG boutique hotel is absolutely beautiful. Our room was very spacious with bedroom, sitting area, kitchen, spacious bathroom, and sweet sitting balcony. A beautiful cross ventilation breeze was constant. We so appreciated the water filtration system throughout the property as well as extremely comfortable beds and pillow selection. We enjoyed our rooftop breakfasts prepared by Isabel as well as sunset views and the gorgeous city overlook. This hotel would be perfect for singles, couples, families and events ( courtyard would be perfect for a...
