TL;DR: Top-notch service, delicious food, beautiful property, convenient location; comfortable, relaxing & clean! If we could leave more than 5 stars, we would! My wife and I just came back from spending 6 days here and it was fantastic. This place has the best service of any hotel we've ever stayed at. The amazing service started from the beginning, when we were greeted with a delicious welcome drink while we checked-in. They have a great system where they use Whatsapp to communicate with the front-desk to request anything you might need, including gym reservations. They have 2 restaurants on-site: Fresco's & Ziggy's. We only ate at Fresco's. The staff at Fresco's is incredibly friendly and makes you feel like friends / family. They were very relaxed & laid back, but also very professional and effective at their jobs. They remember & address you by your name. The food here is incredibly delicious. Everything is super fresh, always, and portions that never leave you hungry. They provide free breakfast for guests every day and it's not like a breakfast buffet or something - you just pick what you want from the menu, serve it to you and then comp it. This was a perk we weren't aware of when we reserved our stay but it turned out to be one thing (along with many others) which we really appreciated and enjoyed. The property is gorgeous. There are plenty of trees, nice walkways, a beautiful pool, pool table, couches, spa and a gym. The beach side is beautiful as well. They have a group of mattresses, chairs & a swing set, with palm trees to balance the sun with some shade. We had a hot stone massage in the spa and it was one of the most relaxing parts of our trip. We did the hydrotherapy before-hand (it was cut slightly short which we were disappointed about, but we will make sure we have enough time to do it on our next visit) which included a sauna and steam room, and dumping a bucket of cold water on your head in between. The stay included one complimentary yoga session which was incredible! It was supposed to last an hour, but it lasted about ~75 mins and was a nice blend of intensity & relaxation. The instructor was very intentional about tailoring the class (we were 7 people total) to the experience of each individual. It was a great way to start the day! This was probably was incredibly clean, and this is because of the work-ethic of the staff. Whenever we were walking through the property, the staff were always cleaning something. We went for a walk along the beach and noticed that there was a lot of seaweed elsewhere. We hadn't noticed any before when we were on the property which we thought was odd. The next day, we noticed that the workers were there with rakes & wheelbarrows cleaning up the excess seaweed. This place was truly spotless! Thank you to everyone here who made our experience so great. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Tulum. If you're reading this & considering staying here, I strongly encourage you to do it. You will not be disappointed!

I write this review sitting on the beach wishing it wasn’t my last day at this wonderful place. We have been to many different resorts in Mexico however this was our first experience at a non all inclusive resort and what an experience. I feel like this is the way to really enjoy your Mexico trip. You step outside of the usually all you can eat and drink and into an experience of true culture, beauty, wonderful service and amazing food. Having typically paid for the most expensive rooms and butler service at resorts such as Secrets and Royalton the service here absolutely blows those places out of the water. The food is nothing short of spectacular whilst also being very healthy with limited ingredients but all local (not a burger and fries in sight). Guillermo, Filipe and their team at this resort leave you with an experience only returning again could replicate. We stayed in a ground floor ocean front room each night falling asleep to the sounds of the waves on our door step. The resort is made for a very peaceful quiet vacation and it did not disappoint. The daily hydrotherapy was fantastic and the on site gym whilst small gave access to all I needed for a morning workout. The included morning breakfast is plentiful and you will never be left feeling hungry but never uncomfortable and bloated which was always the norm on previous vacations. The focus to cater to allergies, intolerances and focus on health and freshness is clear to see. I could write all day about how amazing this trip is/was but urge you to experience this for yourself. You’ll be guaranteed relaxation, great service, phenomenally clean and quiet beaches and warm ocean water all whilst being able to truly disconnect from your day to day stresses. We are already planning our return Thank you to all the wonderful staff for making our trip so special. Every single staff member was out of this world with their levels of service

This place is what dreams are made of! I read all positive reviews and let me tell you, I was STILL blown away despite knowing I was in for a treat! It felt like we were transported to paradise upon entering this beautiful property. The concierge team are some of the most friendly and welcoming people I’ve ever met, especially Aldo. They made the room extra special for our celebration and genuinely cared to get to know us as people, not just guests. We ate the most delicious breakfasts at Fresco’s every day and chatted with so many kind people. Rosa and Axel took extra great care of us! There are tons of great vegan options which we really appreciated. Guillermo gave us a great list of vegan restaurants to check out in town, hit him up if you need local suggestions! The rooms are all stunning. We stayed in a sunset room and loved the rooftop hot tub for stargazing at night. The AC kept us comfortable at night. As for the reason you’re probably there, the beach! It’s stunning and photos don’t do it justice. We never had a problem finding empty seats/beds and felt totally safe leaving our things out while we swam or walked around. There is a security person there at all times. We appreciated that the staff removed the seaweed when it piled up. I loved that the hotel uses WhatsApp to communicate- it made things very easy. Anytime we needed anything or had a question, they responded immediately. Even to order drinks to the beach 😊 thanks for making such delicious drinks, Felipe! I cannot recommend Cabanas enough! I’m not sure how another place will top this one. We will absolutely be staying here again and again, hopefully soon!

Hello, I am writing this review to let everyone know how amazing Hotel Cabanas Tulum is, also how exceptional their staff is. This hotel has the best service I have ever experienced out of any hotel I have ever styed! My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon. Before our arrival the communication the hotel staff had with us was excellent. They booked our transportation to and from the hotel. They also kept us up to date on any changes.

Upon our arrival the hotel we were greeted with at the reception area by Aexandra she was very professional. We sat down to check in and were handed two amazing drinks from the Frescos bar. The checking in process was smooth and it was prompt. Alexandra explained all details of the hotel and stated if we needed anything, to communicate through WhatsApp. Alexandra got us a cooler with ice so we can store our drinks we had bought at the local store.

Once we got to our room and entered, we had rose petals all over our bed and swans made from towels. There was also a complimentary bottle of champagne in an ice bucket waiting for us. This made our arrival even more special with the attention to detail. The room was clean and very cool. The AC worked amazing! We stayed in room 131 which was a swim up king with a private plunge pool. This room had the perfect location because the main pool also felt private.

During our days in the pool the servers were amazing big props to them all. I need to name a few personally. Mauricio was so professional and courteous always treated us with respect and to the highest level of attention! Mauricio even went as far as to give us a little gift before we left. Omar was also great, always went the extra mile for us when we ordered! Nick was also an amazing server! Job well done!

Frescos was amazing for breakfast everyday great food and drinks! Ziggy’s is also amazing for both breakfast and lunch. The staff at both restaurants are amazing! Breakfast is also complimentary

Alexandra was always in touch with my wife through WhatsApp getting us transportation to and from restaurants never skipping a beat. She would also get us tours or private drivers to cenotes, ruins and more. What an amazing employee this hotel and its guest are lucky to have her there. Unfortunately, during our last day of our honeymoon, we experienced a hurricane in Tulum. They were very communitive and kept us up to date hour by hour. Offered us to change rooms if we wanted since we were on the first floor. The hotel withstood the storm perfectly! We were never in any danger. The hotel staff stayed over at the hotel to make sure their guests were safe! Our transportation came on time even with a hurricane aftermath! Everyone was working as a team making sure the hotel was back and running at full throttle immediately after. I was impressed.

In conclusion, I have no negative things to say about Hotel Cabanas Tulum. I swear if I ever have the opportunity to have my own hotel I would...
