Read Before Going - This place is a tourist scam. While the vibe is nice and the food is really good, they will scam you. DO NOT DRINK HERE. The drinks are upwards of $25 for a single shot and if you order a double shot, they literally charge you twice the amount (so $50) and you have no way of proving if you're actually getting top shelf. Also, they do not allow you to bring your own bottled water in so you have no choice but to buy water from them which was upwards of $20-$25 for a small bottle. They do not disclose the prices to you upfront SO ALWAYS ASK FOR THE PRICE PRIOR TO ORDERING. We made the mistake of assuming a bottle of water would be way less than that. We knew there would be a markup but not upwards of $20+. Additionally, double check your receipt to ensure you're only paying for what you ordered. We had some mistakes on ours.
Finally, note that there is an expensive cost to get into the beach clubs ranging from $100-$150/person, maybe more. However, if you eat at the restaurant I think you can still access it. Note that even if you make reservations, they may not honor your reservation during peak times. We actually made reservations at Taboo Beach Club and because we didn't have a prepaid reservation (meaning we didn't want a beach club pass of $150/person) and only wanted to eat at the restaurant, they wouldn't allow us in. Instead they walked us over to Tantra so we could eat there instead. I found that to be disappointing because what is the point in having a reservation if they don't actually honor it?!
Overall, I will say the vibe and the food was really good. I ordered the burger and fries and it was very flavorful. I'll add a pic. I would even order the food to go if that were an option. HOWEVER I wouldn't recommend this place because of how they scam you with the costs. Hope...

I recently visited Tantra Beach Club in Tulum, and unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. The concept seems straightforward: you pay 2000 Mexican pesos per person in advance, which serves as a spending limit. Since there were two of us, we paid 4000 pesos.
However, what bothered us was that we were just 1 US dollar over the limit and still had to pay extra. While this wouldn't normally be an issue, the attitude of the staff was downright unpleasant. A person who claimed to be the manager handled the payment and demanded a tip of at least 10% of the total amount. When I said I was willing to give only a 5% tip, he repeatedly refused and only eventually agreed. This approach felt pushy and uncomfortable.
In addition, there were two young guys (I believe they were minors) who were offering cocaine or marijuana to the guests, which made the atmosphere even more unsettling and inappropriate for a beach club.
Moreover, the place was nearly empty, which did not contribute to a pleasant atmosphere. The food prices were outrageously high, yet the quality was mediocre, and the menu options were limited. Overall, this was one of the worst experiences I've had in Tulum. The combination of intrusive staff, illegal activities, high prices, and disappointing food makes this place somewhere I would not recommend or return to.
Tulum has plenty of other great options;...
Read moreWe were looking for a high-end beach club to spend the day at and we thought we found it when we arrived. The service and the staff are absolutely fantastic. However, once we started buying drinks, we noticed that things were a little bit off. We had multiple shots of tequila, multiple drinks of their high-end cocktails, and after five hours of being there, we look at each other and thought why are we feeling sober considering the night before we spent and drank half as much and felt a lot more intoxicated. I can 100% guarantee that they are watering down drinks and not providing the 100% full experience with the alcohol and beverages It’s super disappointing considering we spent over $750 US to sit there for 5 1/2 hours. We did not order any food but ordered just the cost of the bill for the drinks. I pulled the bartender and the manager aside and ask them why we were served alcohol that was definitely water down and they didn’t really have any kind of reason behind it. Between two people we had over a dozen shots between us and also multiple cocktails that exceeded over 8 to 10 cocktails and also had Four other cocktails split between us. I feel really bad writing this review, but the truth is the truth and don’t waste your money because we had a lot better time and played Del Carmen for a quarter of the price that we needed in...
