We found Ziggy’s by doing a Google search, and it was a very good experience overall. We came here on Christmas Day. Getting to Ziggy’s from the centre of town was fairly easy by taxi, about 15 minutes. The beach club was almost full when we arrived but a few big beds were available. We decided to rent one for the day, $75 USD per person. As other people have mentioned, the entirety of the fee goes towards your food and drinks. We thought we’d easily spend that much but to be honest, between the two of us we used exactly that amount over the course of 5 hours. The space is small compared to most other beach clubs along the water, but I liked that. It was intimate and chill - no music being played, which I appreciated. Normally I really enjoy having a DJ or some kind of music in the background but the quiet was really perfect - just some chatter of guests and employees, and the sound of crashing waves. Many people seem to be critical of the food but we found it to be very tasty and while a bit on the expensive side (nothing majorly expensive really), we felt it was good value for the price. We really enjoyed the Ziggy’s Spritz cocktail. The guac and chips were delicious, as was the tuna burger. Later on we got the shrimp “al pastor” tacos and Baja style fish tacos. Both were good but the shrimp al pastor were the best. The service was very attentive and our server was very kind and everything was served to us quickly. Unfortunately the beach club closed up at 5:30, but it was okay as we had finished the last of our food and drinks and wanted to take a stroll along the beach. Ziggy’s is definitely a good option to check out when visiting Tulum if you’re not interested in listening to loud house music and being surrounded by wannabe...
Read moreZiggy’s is a VIBE. This was hands down one of our favorite spots in Tulum—so good we came back twice during our trip. Right when you walk in, you feel like you’ve found a slice of paradise that knows it’s paradise, but somehow isn’t trying too hard. The beachfront setting is pure magic—white sand, swaying palms, and the turquoise water just steps away from your toes. And the chairs? Comfy enough to make you consider never leaving.
The service was top notch. Every single person we interacted with was welcoming, attentive, and somehow always there right when we needed them. Shout out to our server (wish I caught his name!) who made sure our drinks stayed full and our guac never ran low.
Now let’s talk about the food: the shrimp tacos were so fresh it felt like they introduced themselves to the ocean that morning. The ceviche? Bright, citrusy, and just the right amount of heat. And the cocktails? Absolutely unreal. I had something with mezcal and passionfruit that made me feel like I should quit my job and open a beach bar (but I won’t… yet). Their drink menu is as thoughtful as it is tropical.
Live music in the background sealed the deal. Chill enough to relax, but good enough that we were shazaming songs between bites. It’s the kind of place you could show up for lunch and accidentally stay through sunset.
Prices are what you’d expect for beachfront dining in Tulum, but honestly, the quality, atmosphere, and experience make it worth every peso. Ziggy’s hits that sweet spot between upscale and relaxed—it’s elegant without being pretentious.
If you’re in Tulum, this is one of those “don’t miss” places. Come hungry, come thirsty, and come ready to soak in some seriously good beach...
Read more⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The atmosphere at Ziggy’s blew my expectations out of the water — from the moment you walk in to being seated at your table. The lights, the décor, the beachfront setting — absolutely stunning. It’s Instagram-worthy if that’s something you care about, but honestly, pictures can’t even capture how beautiful it really is. The atmosphere alone makes Ziggy’s a must-go, which says a lot because usually if the food doesn’t earn five stars, the place isn’t a must for me. Here, the setting is just that incredible.
The service was phenomenal from beginning to end. From parking, to the hostess, to the wait staff, everyone was so friendly and genuinely made sure we were taken care of. The wait service was a little on the slower side, but I don’t take stars off for that. I believe it’s part of the Caribbean dining culture — meals aren’t rushed, and you’re encouraged to relax and enjoy. Visitors from the U.S. may perceive it differently, but I see it as intentional.
That said, the food, while nicely presented, was a letdown, and the cocktails — despite their mouthwatering menu descriptions — were just okay. For the prices, I expected more from both.
Still, Ziggy’s is worth visiting. Come for the comfort, atmosphere, and experience. Even though I can’t give it five stars because of the food, it’s an unforgettable spot and one of the most beautiful dining...
