Mogador Al Madina - Agadir — Hotel in Agadir

Fair price for very good location in the middle of the beach strip. Stayed in early July 17, room 414, nice large room with double bed and mod cons. Outdated but good for the price. They say all rooms have balconies.. This is a lie really, they have large floor to ceiling doors that open onto a hand rail. You cannot stand in it really let alone sit outside on the balcony, so don't book if you want an actual balcony. WiFi only useful in reception and some areas around the pool although it was slower there. No Wi-Fi in the rooms. There was a music festival on in agadir so it was loud at night, double glazing would have been good for the busy road noise below. We wore ear plugs. Pool was lovely although weird set up with the pool towels, they're hidden away under lock and key so you always have to ask to get one and I assume you're expected to tip the pool guy for the privilege of getting it for you. Also, a strange policy is that you can't bring drinks back into the hotel from the road back entrance (even a water bottle!) but you can if you walk through the reception entrance? Very bizarre but bottled water is very expensive at the hotel (3x normal price). We had bnb and we found breakfast plentiful with lots of lovely pastries. The hot bits were local style but at least they had hot options. We didn't eat lunch or dinner here with so many places out that were amazing and cheap like Daffys, Chichi kebab etc. Staff were very friendly towards us, despite our limited Arabic/French and welcoming including reception, cleaning, and waiting staff. Would recommend for a cheaper but ok quality stay, with a nice pool in a very good location 10 mins walk up from the beach, B&B...

WIFI only at the reception and nowhere else. Rooms smell of smoke and are dirty. There are insects running around in the room at night.

Pictures on booking and Google representing the place are very outdated and don't reflect the current status of the place. The only decent area of the hotel is the reception.

Very noisy during the night, the windows aren't sealed at all. In fact, if you lay a hand in front of them, you can feel a breeze like if the window was wide open.

Be prepared to fight for your life at breakfast, it's a nightmare. Everything is finished. Staff is rude and when asking cups they said that they have to wash them as they run out.

No value for money, if you book a riad costing one third of this price, you have WiFi and everything is better. Wish I knew this...

Although the courtyard and poolside are amazing the hotel room is extremely dated, room service was next to none. Upon arrival there was no toiletries I.e soap, shower gel. There was three of us to a triple room and we was only provided with one towel. I requested for 2 more towels over 2 days and they still never gave us towels. There was no room service for 2 days, I called reception and they advised someone will come to clean the room. On the third day I made a complaint regarding no towels and no room service, that is when the manager came and the towels turned up. This should really not be the case, standard service with every hotel could not even be fulfilled here. Breakfast options were poor. Only gave 2 stars because of the swimming pool. Disappointed...
