Restaurant Golden Gate — Restaurant in Agadir

I visited this restaurant out of desperation after struggling to find a place that welcomes solo travelers. Both times I entered, the waiters ignored me—no greeting, no assistance—forcing me to choose my own seat. In contrast, they warmly welcomed European tourists, seating them with big smiles.

On my last visit, I placed an order and waited endlessly, even for a starter—just like the first time. Yet, they served French couples immediately, ignoring me completely. The discrimination was obvious: simply because I’m of Arabic origin, I was deemed unworthy of decent service.

To make matters worse, while I was still finishing my drink, the waiter rushed over with the bill, pressuring me to pay as if I’d run off without settling. Strangely, other guests (including the French couple) were allowed to pay by card, but the waiter insisted I pay in cash.

If you’re Arab, avoid this place. The staff disrespects you while favoring European tourists....

Shame I can't give 0 star, been travelling most of my adult life this is by far the worst place ever. Walked in no one greeted as we chose our seats we sat then a miserable female (I think she's the manager) brought the menu after decided what we want I had to wave 👋 at someone to take our order we ordered 2 starters for my wife and seafood pasta for myself and we asked for all food to come at the same time after waiting good 30 minutes another waiter came with the starters I asked where is my pasta then the miserable rude manager with an attitude oh you never said you want everything at the same time. When my wife almost finished her's my seafood pasta came it was the smallest pasta plate ever with about 5 prawns nothing else I asked where is the seafood she's again with an attitude that's how we do it I sent it back when she came with the bill she made a comment that the boss had my pasta for his dinner and...

We were really disappointed with the experience. The servers were nice but couldn't really communicate properly in English. Me and my boyfriend walked by the restaurant, it looked nice from the outside and we decided to stop by and order pizza because we were in a rush and wanted to get something quick to eat. We thought pizza was the easiest thing to order because it'll be the fastest to make at a restaurant, but we waited about 25 minutes for it to come, and apart from the long wait time, my hawaiian pizza was missing the meat on it. When I asked the waiter why there was no meat, he was confused and couldn't explain why. On top of that my boyfriend's pizza had a piece of PLASTIC inside the pizza....when we told the waiter, the chef came out and apologized but didn't do anything about it. Overall, not a place to eat a nice authentic meal but maybe a place to have...
