What else can you say about this establishment but that it's pure class, everything about it. The actual place and it's design and layout, architecturally, is excellent, really well thought out; with it's sprawling sections, some without speakers and less impacted by the music noise, other areas with acoustic screens, others at different levels that are kinda designed to be chilled and snug, it really has been carefully thought out, right down to the last LED.
First off you have to talk about the service because it's second to none. Perfect level of attentitiveness; in no way intrusive or annoying while also being friendly and warm. The table staff really are a credit to this place. The management and owners should be proud of the team they've put together.
Onto the food; I don't even think it needs a review 'cos it speaks for itself, it was just phenomenal. Price was extremely reasonable, portions were huge, meat was beautifully cooked, steak exactly cooked as I'd asked, which is pretty rare. As a butchers son I'm pretty particular about this. I'm not some classist fake beef connoisseur; I ordered an expensive piece of steak, on the menu as char-grilled, if I ask for it medium well I don't want it dripping blood and luke-warm inside, I want it char-grilled outside, brown on the edges and light pink in the middle and that's exactly how I got it. It was beautifully cooked. The deserts were perfect, we ordered fondant au chocolat and they were beautiful, ice cream on the side as it should be and beautifully presented with fruit sorbet streaks around the plate. We asked for tea a la menthe at the end and it was beautiful and the waiter served it like he took real pride in how this particular tea represented his culture. We ordered cocktails, tapas and apple shisha (chicha) to start us off which was all beautiful presented as well and the shisha was tended to frequently.
More than anything though, was the attentitiveness of all of the staff from the second we got to the bouncers at the front door, to the moment we walked back out at 11.15. Everyone was really friendly and considerate. We were on holiday with a 3yr old and arrived early to Mabrouk restaurant, 8.45 or so. We hadn't stayed at the hotel itself so after a long busy day spent at CrocoPark and then walking around Agadir, as we'd carefully planned it out, our daughter had nodded off as we walked down from our hotel... The buggy was tipped back and covered over by the time we arrived at the front gate of Mabrouk and the staff noticed this immediately, so they were really considerate from the outset. They went out of their way to find a secluded quiet little spot at the edge of the outdoors complex for us, where the ambience was perfect and didn't wake up our little one. What surprised me was the attitude of all the local Moroccans too; although shisha's create very little smoke, our little one was facing the opposite direction, and the buggy itself was completely covered and protected anyway, anyone that even considered sitting in the vicinity of our table asked if it was okay to order a shisha and even the youngest of the groups were so considerate and approached us, telling us to let them know if they were being too noisey or if any shisha smoke was blowing near the buggy. Again, we had covered the buggy completely and positioned it totally out of the way to protect it from smoke and noise, and of course, had even ordered a shisha ourselves, the fact that everyone was so considerate in a place where the hotel itself only allows adults, even the very youngest of the clientele, totally blew us away. From our immensely positive experience with Moroccans since we'd arrived anyway, this didn't really surprise us but definitely worth mentioning because even though our daughter was with us, this was our first holiday night out to ourselves, so all of this was massively appreciated!
All in all, not a single bad thing to say. We joked on the walk back that it felt like we were a celebrity family in a VIP establishment đ Management and owners...
Read moreStaff is super nice!!! We canât highlight that enough. Especially want to give a shoutout to Sam in the breakfast restaurant- she goes the extra mile every single morning! Lots of smiles and lots of help - a general experience in Agadir.|Breakfast menu is good (no more, no less) and rooms are above decent with aircon, mini fridge, safe and bathroom amenities. Absolutely beautiful settings and an awesome pool. Great location, 10 min. from the beach with lots of restaurants around. Very clean and well-maintained. A bit of rebuilding since the recent photos of the pool area, but for the better. ||HoweverâŚ.please be aware that âAdultâ doesnât mean sleeping or quiet-time by the pool - it means âfit for partyâ. All day throughout the night, youâll be âenjoyingâ hardcore club music. The pool area is a public restaurant/nightclub from around 17-02 and itâs very well visited in those hours. On top of that you have a few other venues in the building. ||The daytime poolmusic was the main problem for us! Even if you are the only person by the pool, they will insist playing dance-music (week 41 there were more staff than guests during the dayâŚusually only the two of us). Daily we had to ask DJ to turn it down. We are oldies that just wanna read a book and snooze in the sun. Would have been acceptable if a bunch of guests was present to party or it was gentle music, but it is only fit for party-hardy and we were alone.||If you book balcony, you will have direct view to (and noise from) the party. We were on the side of the building and managed to sleep with earplugs. |Also - neighbour hotel are very noisy too, but ofc that canât be helped.||Using onsite restaurant is very expensive (around 5 eur coffee), but drinks can be brought from outside.||We loved the majority of this stay, but will not be coming back due to the music.|Main problem is that this noisy party-setting is not advertised properly in the description. You can actually request a quiet room during booking, but there is no such thing during...
Read moreWhile I would recommend visiting Agadir, I would advise against staying in this hotel. If I come back to Agadir, Morocco again I will be finding different accommodations than this hotel. I would have rated this hotel with no stars if that was an option. The pictures make this place look really nice but that is far from the truth. In my hotel room only half the lights worked, the power would go on and off periodically, and the room itself was not very clean. The bathroom was worse than the rest of the room when looking at cleanliness. Over my two week stay, room was not cleaned once by the staff. In the pictures the hotel is well lit, but most of the lights are either burned out or not turned on. The pool area also looks very nice in the pictures. During my stay I witnessed part of the underside of a structure fall and hit two people over the head. They were not hurt, but no one who works here bother to ask if they were okay or to apologize. To get to the restroom at the pool you have to go down tile stairs. Over the course of the day those stairs become very wet and slippery without there being a railing to hold on to. Not realizing that there was no railing, I went to go use the restroom and slipped down the last four steps. I ended up with a small cut on my hand and bruises on both arms, my back, and my butt. The lifeguard found me and helped me up. No one from the staff bother to see if I was okay or not. Money was also stolen from my purse while in this hotel and all the people at the reception desk would tell me was that it couldn't have been stolen from my room since the maids haven't been in there and I'm the only one with a key. The only time my purse was not physically on me had been within the perimeter of the hotel and pool area. I would also not recommend this hotel because one of the people on staff had a very loud argument with a guest right in the middle of...
