ITRI SURF HOSTEL TAGHAZOUT — Hotel in caïdat de Taghazout

In theory, this could’ve been a great hostel. But the bathroom was disgusting and smelled horribly of urine (plus a shower right in front of the toilet). The Wi-Fi often didn’t work downstairs and upstairs didn’t work at all. Little to no social atmosphere and no events during the day or at night at the hostel, little activity on the rooftop at night. The owner was friendly, therefore I feel bad writing this, but this hostel definitely needs to be improved. Several other things such as a dirty kitchen, lack of toilet paper and lack of trash cans made it not great. Moreover, open windows and location of the room were not great for sleeping, as throughout the night you could hear everything very loudly from outside (voices mainly). DONT BOOK A ROOM HERE!

The Hygiene in our room was atrocious. Hairs everywhere, on the toilet, in the kitchen, and the blanket in the bed. The toilet looked like it wasn't cleaned in a while either. The mirror was filthy, and there were stains on the mattress. Its for sure the worst hostel or hotel room ive come across in my lifetime. As you can see when looking at the other reviews, we're by far not the only ones experiencing these conditions. When we brought up these issues, the owner assured us passive aggressively that the rooms are cleaned everyday but didnt have an explanation why our room looked this way. We decided to change hotels without staying a single night here.

Again, please go somewhere else, there are way better options...

My staying in itri was amazing, mustapha was so hospitable and present all the time , he did serve us tea every moment. I will always remember our staying late at the rooftop eating the delicous tagine that he cooked for us , the hostel was super clean malika take care of the hygiene of place very well. The view is so relaxing to eyes you fell like you are at home connected with your rootes . I was planning to stay for 2 nights amd i did find my self stating for 2 weeks , meeting beautiful people laughing and talking socializing in the rooftop the energy and vibe in the hostel is so addictive and amazing i will for sure come back again .
