A charming stay in the heart of the Blue City
Casa Perleta was an excellent choice for our stay in Chefchaouen. It's located in a quiet, picturesque part of the medina—close to all the main attractions, yet peaceful and removed enough to enjoy the calm atmosphere of the city.
We stayed in a room with a private terrace, offering beautiful views of the mountains and the iconic blue houses of Chefchaouen. Sitting there at sunset, taking in the view, was truly special.
The room was clean and tastefully decorated in traditional Moroccan style. However, we should mention that the single bed was quite hard. In fact, we had to layer several duvets on top of the mattress to make it more comfortable for sleeping. Even so, the peaceful ambiance of the riad made the overall stay very enjoyable.
Breakfast was another highlight—generous, varied, and delicious, with fresh local products. The lady in charge of preparing it was absolutely lovely and made sure we had everything we needed. Her care and attention were very much appreciated.
The two young men running the riad during our stay were also incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive. It's clear that the place is managed with love and dedication.
In summary, Casa Perleta is a cozy, authentic place full of charm. Despite the issue with the bed, our overall experience was very positive, and we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy the true essence of Chefchaouen in a warm, welcoming...
Read moreUnfortunately had a bad experience at casa perleta. Bed was awful. Incredibly hard and deformed, like sleeping on a half pipe. And made incredible noise when you moved. The room also smelled terrible… Not enough spots for breakfast. So if there are a few people eating breakfast, you need to wait. The man working the breakfast wouldn’t stop yelling to the downstairs workers at 8:30-9AM. He also was watering the plants over the guests while they were eating breakfast. (The other staff member was amazing, I must say. Very professional, kind, and helpful). The entrance of the hotel was dirty with a lot of garbage Minor but they don’t have shampoo. Just one bottle for hand wash, body wash and shampoo. Doesn’t seem like a major expense to have different products… maybe even sell them separately to guests (we’ve seen this in other places).
On the positive: location is great, right in the middle of everything. It’s also quiet. And aesthetically, it looks very nice with a...
Read moreVery cute, quaint, small bed and breakfast hotel. We had a room with three beds and a bathroom which was perfect for my two aunts and myself. The hotel is very clean and has a lot of character, which I loved. You can see the owners took pride in all the work they did in renovating this hotel. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was delicious. We got to meet one of the owners who was very personable and told us a bit of the history of the town and hotel. We highly recommend this hotel. |We were dropped off by our tour driver and I can see how it might be difficult to get up to the hotel in a car because of the narrow passages/streets. The hotel is centrally situated very close to restaurants, shops. Chefchaouen is a beautiful town that is a must see when...
