Whoever designed this riad must possess an extraordinary artistic sensibility. Every corner of the space reflects a deep understanding of beauty, balance, and emotion. The color palette is chosen with such finesse — soothing yet vibrant, traditional yet fresh — creating an atmosphere that feels both timeless and alive. The placement of the furniture seems effortless, yet it’s undeniably intentional, creating cozy nooks and inviting spaces that naturally draw you in.
What’s truly remarkable is the presence of greenery throughout the riad. The plants aren’t merely decorative; they breathe life into the space. There’s no strict rule to their arrangement — and yet, everywhere they are placed feels like exactly where they belong. Whether trailing from a windowsill or nestled beside a sunlit doorway, they feel like living brushstrokes in a grand painting.
This place isn’t just designed; it’s curated with love- It’s drenched in artistry — not the kind that shouts, but the kind that whispers to your senses and quietly stirs your heart.
The terraces of this riad are simply stunning — each one offering its own little slice of serenity. The swimming pool isn’t large, but it’s just the right size, surrounded by cozy sitting areas that invite you to linger and relax. I haven’t even had breakfast here yet, but I’m already soaking in the warmth and charm that fills every corner of this place.
What I love is how every detail seems thoughtfully considered. The rooms may not be large, but they’re beautifully designed — intimate, elegant, and full of character. Even the bathrooms are lovely, maintaining that same understated style and attention to detail.
And perhaps for the first time in a riad, I’ve noticed the little conveniences that make such a difference — proper space for bags and suitcases, well-placed shelves, and most importantly, a full-length mirror. It’s those small, thoughtful touches that really elevate the experience. I genuinely love every bit of it — this place is a quiet masterpiece of comfort and design. We are here only for 1 night, i wish we could stay for a...
Read moreMy experience with Riad Cherifa, located in the picturesque town of Chefchaouen, Morocco, was one of unparalleled hospitality and integrity, and although I couldn't make it to the property, the owner’s exceptional business ethics left a lasting impression.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to cancel my trip, and my booking was non-refundable. Despite the policy, the owner of Riad Cherifa demonstrated an incredible act of kindness and professionalism by refunding the entire amount without hesitation. It’s rare to find such genuine understanding and a customer-first approach in the hospitality industry. This is a clear testament to their ethical standards and commitment to treating their guests with fairness and compassion.
Even though I didn't have the pleasure of experiencing the riad’s comfort firsthand, this gesture alone speaks volumes about the caliber of service and trustworthiness that Riad Cherifa offers. Any business that prioritizes integrity over profits deserves to be celebrated and supported.
If you are planning a visit to Chefchaouen, I wholeheartedly recommend Riad Cherifa, not only for its reputed beauty and charm but also for the exceptional character of its owner. It’s businesses like these that renew your faith in hospitality and set the gold standard for...
Read moreJust finished a two night stay Dec 2023 at the riad. We had two rooms a suite and a double. Well located close to the main entrance of the old city. Beautifully appointed cozy rooms with heating and cooling as per your needs. Excellent service from beginning to end. Breakfast is included with eggs made to order along with local bread, a fried donut kinda savory with unlimited mint tea and coffee. As with all the riads you have to walk from entrance where the car drops you to the riad. They have porters to help you since it's a pretty steep climb with lots of steps. Excellent staff to help with all your needs from getting a wine delivered to money exchanged. To experience the Moroccan old town living staying in a road is second to none. Walking distance (well , no other way possible )to all locations in old city. Stay away from main square with all the restaurants , a tourist trip like no other with subpar food. Shout-out to all the staff. They were all great. Thanks for a great stay from the four of us...
