Was so excited to try this place after reading the reviews about the falafels but was immediately disappointed when we were welcomed by one of the waiters repeatedly burping with a cigarette in his hand over the counter/kitchen as we walked up to the stairs to get to the terrace. It seemed that we had caught the whole of the team off guard, disrupting their time as they proceeded to sit around looking confused that we were asking to eat there. After ordering, the waiter who took our order sat directly behind our table blasting videos from his phone. I’m sure most people can relate to how immensely frustrating this noise is. We both looked around to subtly say ‘please stop playing your annoying music’ yet it continued. As a distraction I asked him about the castle, then he immediately sat back down to continue playing the loud music, right behind us?! When our food arrived the hummus was more like an oily soup, falafels and salad were okay, the chips had evidently been reheated and tasted of cardboard. As we left we didn’t even get a goodbye or thank you, the waiters continued to chat amongst themselves. We felt unwelcomed, far from relaxed and slightly confused about our experience. Would never eat here again even if it was free.

if you're looking for a spot to enjoy a great cup of coffee and savor a view that's second to none, this place is worth a visit. The coffee served there was undeniably good. However, when it came to the cookies, they were merely average. What truly set this place apart was the breathtaking view. From the terrace, a panoramic view over the Kasbah, Outa El Hammam place, and the majestic mountains on the other side. It was a sight to behold and added a sense of tranquility to my visit. One downside, though, was the pricing. It felt a bit on the high side considering the quality of the food. However, the friendly staff and the kindness of the owner went a long way in making up for it. They were welcoming, accommodating, and made me feel like a valued customer. In summary, Just be prepared to pay a little extra for the privilege.

A fantastic, relaxed and healthy/homemade food place in an area surrounded by mass produced/tourist fast food. The service is a little slow, so if you’re in a hurry, please let them know when you arrive. Most people come to relax and linger over the delicious flavours. It’s not the Moroccan way to rush food or have things to go... relax, you’re on a trip, take it easy and watch the world go by. M We tried a number of different dishes over our 3 days in town, as well as trying other places, and the quality here is high. It’s a small menu, but everything is delicious. Try the local flavours like orange blossom, the split pea soup, the smoothies, the gluten free chocolate cake. It’s all great! But don’t expect to leave in 15 minutes. I consider that a huge plus.

[and they even reply with lies, check the pictures I've posted here on their google location]

I've been here since 45 minutes, in front of the closed front door. Neither here or in TripAdvisor there is ang information about their openings time.

I asked them a while ago, and they said they would open at 11. It's 11.15 and it's still closed. I had a long walk just to get here this morning.

And I still don't know if they will serve breakfast at this hour! I'm really deluded even before entering. A little bit of information never killed anyone.

--- After the owner reply, let me say this: it's just smoke. Other places in Chefchaouen offer better food and ACTUALLY HAVE A TIMETABLE.

You want a nice view? There are plenty of restaurants nearby with a similar view.

You want food? I've been delighted by the fruits in Chez Aziz, and it's way cheaper.

This place is and remain a chic place to take a picture for Instagram, and that's it. The food is good. We payed 105 DH for two juices and...
