We stayed here in December 2024 for one night in the suite double/twin room
Location: the location of this hotel is very good. It is just outside the steps to the medina but offers easy access from your car to the hotel. It is less than a 1-2 min walk (slightly uphill) to the hotel. Once you get to the hotel, there are about 10 to 15 steps to make it to the entrance/garden area. The garden area is quite remarkable and I sat outside for a while on the first day just relaxing and taking in the beautiful flowers.
Room: we stayed in the suite double/twin which had two twin beds and was located on the third floor (the elevator goes up to the third floor). The room was sizable and very comfortable and had a very nice view of the medina. There was also a small sitting room with a full sized couch. It was plenty of room for two people. The beds were very firm so keep that in mind if you are someone who likes softer beds.
Bathroom: I am generally very particular about bathrooms and would say that this one was very clean. When I first entered, I noticed the smell of bleach was quite prominent; however, throughout the course of the day, the bathroom had various odors that had nothing to do with us and was somewhat reminiscent of mold. However, to be clear, I could not find any. The bathroom was very clean but the odor was quite unpleasant sometimes. It did not emanate through the room so was not a huge problem.
Breakfast: breakfast included a buffet with an assortment of pastries, jams, deli meat, various cheeses, and about 4 to 5 different options for fruit. They ask you how you would like your eggs prepared and serve that to you at your table.
Overall, I highly recommend staying here. It was one of the best accommodations that we stayed in throughout our time in Morocco (the other being Le Claire Fontaine in Marrakech). It was a pity we were only able to...

This was a last-minute find that turned out to be a hidden gem! Though just a quick walk away from the old medina and kasbah, it feels tranquil as it is perched on top of a hill with majestic mountains as a beautiful backdrop! Everything from the common spaces to the rooms is tastefully decorated with Moroccan relics, ornaments, and furnishings.
DINE + DRINK: They have multiple restaurants on site and the one that served breakfast(a decent affair!) was located in a cozy space with lovely views.
ROOM: We stayed in Suite #7, so this review is based on that; SIZE: Lovely suite with a huge living area that came with a big L-shaped Sofa/Couch and a beautiful bedroom area. The mini balcony has mindblowing views of the old town and is in the shadow of an ancient tree that sweetly looms over the room; VIEW: Sweet view of the town and the courtyard; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting us to sleep; BATHROOM: Beautifully decorated bathroom with a Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Nice spa quality toiletries.
FACILITIES: No Gym, but they have an outdoor pool with million-dollar views of the mountains and the old blue town
SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all our needs with a smile and made us feel at home and well taken care of.
HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free Wi-Fi that works well all over the property, and the speed is good! Huge Smart TV dishing out a wide variety of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies, and entertainment in...
Read moreWe enjoyed our stay here. It was a bit out of the medina area which I appreciated as it was quiet and calm. The walk up to the hotel reception was an easy few steps and if you are reasonably fit you will have no problem! There are 2 ways to enter the Medina from this hotel, easy way via the right from the entrance or cut in from the stairs opposite. We did both ways but the stairs opposite was a bit complicated to navigate. Google maps will definitely help! Rooms are nice and beds are firm and comfortable. Showers are amazingly hot and good water pressure ( a must during winter months) . Breakfast was buffet style which is great for us as we can heat up our pancakes and bread! You can order your eggs via the staff. If you can, opt for a later breakfast time ( 9am onwards) so you miss the crowds. We had dinner at the hotel and it was great and they even had a local artiste playing music live . We had Italian pasta as we needed a break from the usual Moroccan fare after 9 days and it was delicious! Staff were helpful from the porters to the waiters. We sat in the outdoor terrace drinking mint tea , enjoying the tranquillity vs the busy cities of Fes and Marrakesh. Totally recommend this hotel stay! |Chefchaouen is a lovely town and we enjoyed it very much. One of the highlight of this town is the locally acclaimed artist - Gallery Of Mohsin El Ouragli- once you see his paintings , the ones by the streets just pales...
