The first day i went they weren't open on time. Not a big deal but when I came back, the waitress/cook was by herself. She didn't seem very happy. Seemed annoyed that I want my order taken at her restaurant. I ordered a pizza which wasn't great...the oil they gave me smelled kind of rancid. I order a flan which wasn't great either. They have two different menus with two different prices so I ended up paying more than I thought. The next day I came back because it was close to my hostel. I honestly have no idea what it is with these folks. Literally there was two large empty tables and i was sitting at a table for 2. I ordered a tirumisu and water. The waitress said the table was for eating. I said will I be eating Tirumisu? Basically she was saying I couldn't sit there unless I ordered food a meal. So I said okaaay. Then she asked if I wanted it to go. I took it to go though I wanted to sit and eat. The Tiramisu was great but I ended up have a massive stomach ache after it. No idea what that was about, but I've had my fair share of Tiramasu, and had never had that problem. Personally I wouldn't return but there's a great cafe name Bab Souk where they are very attentive, and the food is great. I think sometimes when people are trying to be too western, they let things go to...

The service was extremely rude and impolite!!! We arrived around 13:00 and asked the waitress whether we could have lunch here. The waitress was very impatient and told us they were closed. We waited outside the restaurant and tried to find the working hours of this restaurant since the waitress refused to answer any questions. At this moment, the waitress came out and told us not to stand outside the restaurant in a very rude way. We asked her why and when they will start to open. The waitress said they don’t speak English. Then we said we can speak French with her. However, she was so agressive and told us that she only speak Arab... however, she told us that they were not open 2 minutes ago in French... how ridiculous it was... it was a very bad experience in Chefchaouen... the people here are so nice and friendly except this...

What to do in the “Blue Cityâ€âŹ‡ïž (Save for later) Chefchaouen, often referred to as the “Blue City,” is a picturesque town in northern Morocco known for its distinctive blue-painted buildings and stunning mountain landscapes. -Wander around the blue streets. You can wander for hours through these blue alleyways. It was my favorite Medina in all of Morocco. The entire town is “Instagrammable” -Watch the sunset from Bouzafer Mosque on the hill. -Take a day trip to Akchour. Here you can hike to the God’s Bridge and/or multiple stunning waterfalls. It’s a 45 minute taxi ride. -I stayed at Dar Dadicilef Hostel and loved it. It’s very quiet, with a stunning garden, delicious free breakfast every morning, and the sweetest owner. His English isn’t great, but if you speak a little Arabic, French, or Spanish you’ll hit it off beautifully. -My favorite restaurants were Casa Aladin, Cafe Clock, Mandala, & Restaurant El Wiam. Getting here from Tangier and/or Fez is very simple using the bus system. I recommend you use CTM or Supratours. You can purchase tickets online, but I purchased them at the ticket window about 15 minutes before departure. Great place if you're a little tired of tagine! Lots of good pizza and pasta options and they were able to accommodate a vegan diet with a little explanation. 3 stars instead of 5 because they brought me a wrong salad as well as forgot my friend's order altogether when we were a party of 7. And when we ordered takeout they told us it would be 20-30 minutes and we had to wait 1 hour and 20 minutes. The food was still delish though so I guess it was worth the wait. Staff need to work on their hospitality skills. They were not at all friendly and seemed very eager to get us out of there which is quite rude because we were all paying customers.

We came by for dinner in search of something non-tajine and we found comfort food. The pasta and pizza were good and filling. Place was small (16 seats indoors) so it got crowded, especially during mealtimes. Both tourists and locals frequent the place and we could see several deliveries being sent out. We were lucky as we arrived just before the peak. There was queue by the time we left, so best to make reservations in advance. If that doesn't work, perhaps ask for a take out.
